New color on the Crossfire... boring!
So I went to the NAIAS this past Monday and I checked out the colors for the Crossfire and must say the light gold is very boring indeed. The other color, a darker gray, looked pretty good and I'm looking forward to seeing one outside of those lights. I wonder why Chrysler doesn't go with the new metallic orange they have for the Pacifica, the bright blue on the PT or the metallic black thats available on the 300's. They have some nice colors, USE THEM!
I think Alabaster is the best color but ... Shut Up.
BTW that phrase seems very popular amongst our youths of today, and it had seemed to lose its negative/improper phrase. My son told me to shut up about ten times last night ... so Shut UP.

...I was there on Monday as well. I think the color is nice, but not my first choice. As for the other colors in Chrysler's arsenal, I don't think there is much of a chance. Consider that because this is a German-made car, every available paint code is different than what is offered on DC's US lineup. Well, except for black (as there no such thing as different shades of black). Wait... that red (Inferno red?) is also a Chrysler US color. So, at least one paint choice made it across the Atlantic. Call me conservative, but I think yellow is for taxi cabs and orange is for DOT trucks. Now, if Chrysler made a gold color (like the grossly mis-shaded classic yellow that appears on their website), it could be my first choice. Funny that it was a mistake.
BTW, anyone notice how prominently displayed the Crossfires were? For an aging car that doesn't sell, Chrysler sure went to a lot of attention to make sure an SRT-6 was front and center in the Chrysler display (up on the turntable). It supports the logic that this car was never really intended to be a stand-alone sales success; it was supposed to be a car that better defined the brand.

I didn't expect to like it until I saw the picture Andrew took. Really is sharp on that convertible. It would be nice if they did bring some different colors out for the Crossfire because I really think the car looks good in alot of colors.
The orange isn't the same orange thats found on say "Yellows" trucks, but rather the new, metallic darker orange like GM has on some of their cars.
that color is SO FUGLY. its sickning to know our cars are made to look so bad, its OLD MAN TAN. the only thing you will see sticking out of those colors are the snowy white heads of hair that they attract... YUUUUUUCK... it will be called "hang around brown" at the dealerships or "old man tan".
soooooo wrong!
soooooo wrong!
The tan color is decent, not what I would call boring, as long as it is on a X-fire...problem with red and yellow colors are that x-fires are already speed radar magnets, no need to give police extra excuse to pull you over even when you are going the speed of traffic.

LMAO, you guys are great. I keep forgeting I'm actually younger than some of you, still though, I don't feel young for 25.
All I really don't like about that color besides the way it looks on a sports car, is that its is catoring to a much older genre of buyer and I don't think its fair to the Crossfire, afterall it is a sports car so to speak. I guess I just want my car to stay in a different class, not the one next to the Buick LeSabre's
