Just wondering with the value near or lower your residuals already, how many are you actually going to buy the car at the end of the lease?

nope... mine is going back, as all my leased cars do.

i did a 4 year lease (longer than normal for me). my residual is $16,000. i have just over 1.5 years remaining.

but i must say... i really do still like this car. i love its rarity and unique looks. if i had to replace it today... i can't think of any other car i'd want. not much out there in the new car world (today) excites me.

I have a 39 month lease and my residual is around $18,700. I have 16 months left. And no, I don't plan to keep the car... unless they negotiate a lease buy out of around $10k or so (unlikely).

Andrew, what are you going to do with all the mods at lease end?

Something ought to give some ADDED SAFETY, don't you think? You know, like the add-on roll bars in that other thread where you said they would be an added safety value. Maybe the spacers by giving the car a wider stance, eh???

Nope, no grudge here. Just waiting for an answer as to why my post in the other thread was deleted by forum management and their post modified concerning a specific statement they made.

Unhappy Re: For the leasees.......

I went to a local Mitsubishi just to see what my car appraises at and guess what, with 7,800 miles on it, it went for $18.5K! The buyout is about $25K, so if I were to try and get into another car, I'd have to roll $7K worth of negative equity into it, NO WAY IN HECK! I like my car, don't get me wrong, but sometimes I'd like to have something I can drive year round, "hein sight is always 20/20". I remember when I leased the car they told me the buyout in the summer of 2008 would be $14K, yeah right, like the car is going to be worth that, give me a break.

Gee Andrew, that would mean you wouldn't be here anymore? Why wouldn't you want to keep it? Just curious.
