Default Nissan Z car driver.

Was getting a new exhaust fitted on my other car the other day and there was a bloke getting new rims fitted on his Nissan 350Z.
I mentioned that I liked the rims and asked how he like the car as I had considered buying one.
He said he loved it.
I replied that I had decided to go for a Crossfire and he said you obviously didn't want performance then.
I laughed and said no I wanted my car to look good as well as go fast.

Good answer!... Do you think he'll ever get over it?

I owned an '05 Z before reverting back to the crossfire, to me, they are only a little faster (with a good driver maybe .5 of second faster thru the 1/4 and a deal heavier) The car did not have the character or the originality that the Crossfire has as they are a dime a dozen near me. Not to knock the car but through '05 (not sure of the '06's) they are plagued with front camber / tire feathering issues = you should have asked him if the new rims and tires were an attempt to deter this unfixable issue.

I have two guys that I work with that have Z's and I'm always getting crap from the both of them about how I should of bought a Z. No thanks I bought the Crossfire because it was different and I'm glad I'm not part of the Z Club. With that being said one guy always try's to make it sounds like there a ton of Crossfires in my area and not many Z's. Some people don't have anything better to do with themselves other then try to prove they are better then someone else.

It was just a standard exhaust on my other car.
A boring Renault Clio.
I use it as a daily driver to keep the Crossfire looking good.
I hate parking in car parks to find some idiot has parked to close to you and opened there door onto the side of your car hence I use the Clio just to run around in and only use the Crossfire when I'm going on long runs or at the weekend.

I love my wife's G35. It's quick enough and handles like a dream. The G 35 is the same as the Z except it has a back seat and more bells buttons and whistles..

I wish my new SRT-6 had all the amenities as my wife's car. But the 330 hp makes up for it!

Personally, I think the G35 is really a 350Z 2+2, in disguise. Only this time, the 2+2 version is the good looking one.

I hope people won't confuse your X as a new 350Z concept!

LOL, the Z cars are marginally faster and the one I drove felt like it was heavy. I also drove the G35 coupe and that felt like an elephant. Thus I went with the Xfire. I love testosterone speed dudes. Give then a shopping cart with a huge motor and they won't shut the f up.

Yeah Z' are a dime a dozen here. G35's, since there is no dealer, here are fairly uncommon. X's, well I never see one. I love it!

The last time I was at Steele, AL dragway there was a few 350Z's drag racing. I didn't pay much attention to them. Personally, I don't care one way or the other about them. They were all running in the mid to low 15's. I don't remember the trap speed exactly but I think around 92 mph. The reason I remember their times is because they seem to be an issue to us XF owners for some reason. However, that twin turbo C5 Corvette that was out there was an issue!!!

I personally like the Z a lot. For the $$ it's a great sports car.

Seems like anytime there's owners of competing cars, they think the other sux. I used to go to a BMW 3-series forum, and I went back and did a search for the Crossfire. Of course they all bashed it, saying it sux, it's ugly, ect. Oh well, wish I could own one of each.

I guess people like to justify their purchase by putting down the competition. One other thing to point out is vehicle performance is directly proportional to the size of a mans member. Therefore, we have to defend it!

I belong to a couple of other boards, one being LS1 tech.com, since I have a Trans Am and was about to buy anew GTO when I decided instead on the x SRT-6. I've got the GTO guys over there stirred up a bit telling them my SRT-6 is just as fast, which it is. Some guy bashed me and said for that kinda money he would have bought a vette. I didn't bother to tell them I got a steal of a deal on new SRT-6. Any way I told them I didn't like seeing the car I was driving 2 to 10 times a day so I didn't buy a vette.

An '06 Vette still costs a butt load more than a XF unless someone pays sticker for the XF and there is a bunch of them out there. Something I have noticed on this forum when you look to see who is logged on usually it’s one or two people but when you log to the Vette site there is usually five to six hundred. It's amazing.

I'll check out the forum but the LS1 swap by Mallett is an eye opener!
