Default Xfire 1 Honda S200 0

To make a long story short.

S2000 guy getting on bumper in heavy traffic.

S2000 guy flashes high beams even though traffic is heavy and there is no where to go.

Xfire guy *me* weaves safely through traffic to exit 27 A on I-95 toward Waterbury.

S2000 guy follows on bumper.

Xfire guy absolutely floors gas on exit 27 A and dumps into 3rd. If you know 27 A you know how sharp this exit it. Xfire is gripping like a mother and S2000 is doing same.

At apex of 27 A throttle is still floored and I continue to accelerate now on empty route 25.

At redline go into 4th just stomping it. At redline go into 5th with throttle never raised since 3rd gear.

Look in rear view and S2000 is at least 7 to 10 car lengths back.

As I reach 140mph on the route 25 straight S2000 is not at least 15 car lengths back.

He couldn't gain ground and I laughed.

I press brakes before state trooper speed trap at 25/8 interchange.

S2000 comes up seconds later still speeding and not noticing interchange.

I laugh again as S2000 has to pull Hail Mary to keep from flipping on the 8 side of the interchange.

Thank Xfire for being just fast enough.

While I congratulate anyone who puts a Honda in their place, that is no place to be driving 140 mph...

Yeah gibson, I usually save the high speed jaunts for route 8 near exit 25. You know the area, right in that valley between the two mountains. Ah man, what a nice spot to go fast.

But this guy was a jerk and I happily spanked him.

I know the Xfire is not FAST, but it is fast enough to deal with most priks. Even cars with 50 to 70 more horsepower I've raced and they never actually beat me. If anything it was even so kudos Xfire for being the little car that could.

Right - On!!! You know, there are a lot of spankings people claim to have performed with their crossfires (late model vettes, porsches, etc.) - but this one I believe. I too have had an encounter with an S-2000. It basically was a roll-on from about 65-70ish. I know the honda was giving it all because I was driving it! I dropped to third in the manual S-2000 and hit it to surprise my son driving MY x-fire - he must have anticipated the encounter 'cause he immediately caught me and was slowly leaving at about a hundred when I took my foot off the floor - no sandbagging here!!!

Yeah, like I said. The Xfire will keep up with cars with at least 70 more horsepower at least in the twisties and for top end jaunts. They always pull a little in the mid range.

But for a stock little sports car the Xfire isn’t bad and gets bagged on way to much.

Is it a vette? Nope, but anybody comparing it to a vette is an utter moron.

Gee put the Bismarck up against pocket destroyer and see who wins. :|

Horsepower guys make me laugh.

Edit: Also, I'd like to comment on the handling of the Xfire. I have the Eibach spring kit and I was absolutely on rails doing 60 on 27A and could have given it more easily but I was scared. I can only imagine how this car handles with a suspension like Andrews.

The S2000 definitely lost the race in that turn as I was pulling away from him in the turn and then on the straight the gap just kept getting bigger and bigger.
