Default Bucking, jerking at stop

Anyone experiencing the car revving down at stops like it's going to stall out?

Mine will sometimes do that if I have the headlights on and the cooling fans kick on... All of these cars have very poor voltage regulation...

Mine used to do that but then I remembered that I had to push in the clutch.

Seriously, mine will experience a "dip" when a high amperage load kicks on such as the cooling fan or the A/C. You don't mention of you have the 6-speed or the automatic, but if you had the automatic I would guess that there could be a problem with the torque converter not unlocking properly.

My car did this once when it was summer and I had the air-conditioning on and just started it, but it only did it one or two times. Could this have something to do with the module recall?

My car is at the dealer as we speak for this problem. I wrote about it earlier. See blog in this section.

My '04 auto would buck and jerk pulling away from a stop once in awhile. It didn't do it as it was coming to a stop. It was always after coming to a stop from 45 mph - 60 mph speed. I took it to my dealer who did a diagnostic check and could find no error codes. They couldn't figure it out. Is this the same problem?

Yes that's the exact problem and occurs every couple of days. Happens after i come to a light or stop and then try to pull off when the light changes. I am always going about 55-75 and then stop and it happens. Dealership cannot or will not resolve the issue. It's an '04 automatic.

Mine is also an '04 auto. I can only suggest what the dealer told me and that was to bring the car in immediately after it did a 'stall/lurch' and they could try to read the code at that point. Also I was told that it might be related to the few times I ran regular gas and an octane booster instead of pure premium.

Do you 'cheat' and run regular or boosted regular fuel in your car too?

Hey guys I have an idea... Have the dealer check your gasoline for rust. I have a 2004 auto and my car started running rough at stops and I took it in and it took the dealership a week to finally figure out there was rust in my gas. At first they thought I had pumped rust into my gas tank... then they figured out the tank had rusted and blown rust throughout the system! Try $2,500 in repairs that was not covered under warranty because they said I pumped "bad gas" into the tank that caused it to rust. However, I'm wondering if they gave us a bunch of bad tanks???

I find this kind of funny that this issue seems to be only with 2004's so is it a time issue? Next year 2005's or is it a year issue 2004 only? I have a 2005 and about 3,500 miles and I only run shell or BP 93 octane gas. I have had no issues, so far.
