I think that several of us should join their forum and start giving them ****. Get them real razzed up before we get there. The MR2 Spyder has 138 crank HP stock. Give me a break..... They would have a hard time out running a golf cart.

 

Makes you wonder if they realize that many of our cars have 3X the HP as their cars do?

 

Like I said, It is very easy, from the safety and annonimity of the internet, to be boastful and brave.
Not one of them would accept a challenge last spring. And I never saw one in my reaview mirror, even when I was stuck, trailing behind an Aqua coloured Geo.

Even our yellow Crossfires could beat them through the Dragon.

I say they should put up or shut up.

As you may know I did join the Digital Corvette forum last fall when we were having our GTG on the same weekend as they were.
They are a decent respectful group of guys and welcomed me when I joined.
Although we never did hook up with them this past fall I have shared the comments from the Spyder guys with them on there forum.

Doc, what those little bastards are saying over on that forum is quite funny. I was unaware an oversized wing, big mouth, and under 150 bhp made these cars fast

Doc and I had 3-4 of them last year in front of us leaving Deal's Gap and they looked and sounded highly modifed, full camera equipment mounted in the lower air dam and everything. We let them leave about 3 or 4 minutes before we take off, needless to say, we were stuck behind them again within a mile. I figured those light little go karts could handle, maybe they can, but they are slow as hell

Now I have to go

 

Why can't we all just get along? Wait that's already been used before.

I am a car guy, and as someone from this forum posted over there, I have a passion for CARS - not just the crossfire. BUT after the comments about all the old guys driving their slow *** crossfires, I had to say something on here about the experieince Doc and I had last year.

Hey MR2 guys, if you see a blacked out debadged crossfire on 20" chrome wheels, come say hello, I would like to check out a modified MR2 up close, and as I said, I am a CAR guy

Then we can chase each other through the twisties and see who comes out on top

 

I'm all for being friendly. We are still going to beat 'em like rented mules.

I was begining to wonder if anybody caught that jibe.

Look, it is a scientific fact that SSB is the fastest and Aeroblue comes in a close second.

Statisticaly yellow Crossfires complete the Dragon in fewer numbers than any other colour but gold.Prove me wrong there.
Machine gray doesn't count because they are so fast nobody ever sees them.
Except for MisXfire and she is usually just lost or stopping again for more beer.

These are the realities of colors, I meant no offense. Yellow is a perfectly respectable colour. Some of my best friends drive yellow cars.
