ARIZONA GTG/CRUISE November 16,2013-Tucson/Tombstone/Bisbee/Nogales
Started a new thread to set an itineray for this GTG. On November 16th meet at a Cracker Barrel. We'll meet in Tucson at the Cracker Barrel, at 8400 N. Cracker Barrel Dr, Tucson,AZ (right off 10 and Cortaro Farms Rd, at 8:30 AM Sharp.
We'll leave the Cracker barrel at 9AM sharp, and drive to Tombstone, AZ which should take about 1 hour 45 minutes, and spend about 1 hour in Tombstone and see the history.
We'll leave Tombstone at 11:30AM and drive to Bisbee, AZ which is 30 to 40 minutes and have lunch at a place to be determined. Probably spend 1 & 1/2 hours there, and leave for Nogales, AZ which is about 1 & 1/2 hours. Arrive about 3PM, Tucson is about 1 1/2 to 2 hours North on 19, which is the route that signage is in the decimal system. If people want to stay overnight at some place along the route lets discuss that. The usual tailgate parties at a hotel or motel are infamous. I'm sure that some of you would like to have your significant other with you, and they should enjoy this also.
Edit: If this happens, bring a handheld radio if you have one.
also, if your plans change and can't make this, post up here ....
People Attending so far:
IBLUBYU (Howard)
Falshami
Matth189
tighed1 (DJ)
Jimmier ...... can't make it this time
Roncorsrt .... can't make it
CarlS and Barbara
jdlong357... can't make it
I'll add or correct his list as people post here.
LET'S DO IT!!!!!!!

Howard, thanks for setting this up. Would have liked to join up for the run and would have come down from Prescott to do it. However that is the one weekend in Nov we can't make it. So hopefully for the next one.
Yeah Steve ... this will be fun ... lots of scenic driving and Ole West history and legends. Wish we could get together. Say Hi to Jessie
So, is this open to all members? I just got an SRT6 a couple of weeks ago, and live in San Diego. My company Corporate HQ is in Tucson, and I work a couple hours away from there. I'm an AZ boy any way, but would love to meet some other Crossfire owners. If it is open, please count me in.

On a side note, if tighed1 joins us, he is one of the most knowledgeable "Gurus" on the forum, and he has a wealth of knowledge about Crossfires (he owns 3 of them).
Thanks for the PM reminding me about this GTG Howard. Almost missed it.
YES I'll be there!
Weird that I'll be driving up to Tucson only to drive back to my neck of the woods.
On the trip to Tombstone suggest taking the Vail exit to Sonoita. Still only 1 hour 45 minutes but it has a few twisties and more "scenic" than taking I-10 the whole way.
I'll probably drop out when we go through Sierra Vista (home) on the way to Nogales.
Heck we can even make my place a Pit Stop for those continuing on. Can discuss at Cracker Barrel.
Looking forward to meeting everyone!

Edit: don't forget hand held radios (I'm bringing 3 of them for people that don't have one), AND a GPS. Also, if you plan on crossing into Mexico from Nogales, you will need your passport.
Thanks, for the PM.. I totally missed this. Checking with my veteran co-pilot. It woudl make for a long day of driving from Tempe. However, checking time share to see if we can stay in Tucson Friday and Saturday night.. Will keep you posted. IBLUBYU, are you driving down Saturday morning from SCW? I have radio's.

I thought that somebody might want to find some lodging at some point. I am planning to leave early Sat morning and drive right to the Cracker Barrel, but lodging in Tucson Friday nite is an option. See ya Howard
