Meeting place at 11am
Cheddar's cafe
105 Remington Blvd,
Bolingbrook, IL
60440
Easy access to I-55 to head downtown together.
Stop #1 at the Museum of Science and Industry which is a good location to the south to get out, gather and then begin our run together going north on LSD (Lake Shore Drive )
Stop #2 at the Adler Planetarium.
This is also a great spot to park and gather for a group photo by the lakefront with the Chicago skyline behind us.
Then we can proceed north again on LSD to
Stop #3 at Montrose Harbor to once again gather for group pics again by the lakefront.
This LSD run covers nearly 14 miles of Chicago's beautiful lakefront from South of downtown to North of downtown
MapQuest Maps - Driving Directions - Map
At that point in our day we need to head to lunch at a location to be determined that can accommodate a group of Crossfires for parking.
Now if we want to make this a more complete day out together we can all head to Navy pier and eat lunch there.
Several options for good food at Navy Pier.
Restaurants
Food Court
Parking is a bit steep at $25 but can provide enough parking for ALL of us in the garage at Navy Pier.
Then as we did last year we enjoyed a sunset cruise on Lake Michigan.
There are also earlier cruise times if sunset is to late for anyone.
Usually you can buy tickets on location for any of the cruise times.
Also last year lunch was mid afternoon so hope that is OK

Welcome ~ it will be a blast... Look forward to meeting you.
Annette
Apologies for the double post Gary, just wanted to see if we can get any more people to sign up.
We are getting closer and closer to the meet itself, who else wants to jump in on this and hang with us in Chicago?

I forgot to ask this earlier, but I have a friend with a black crown vic who would love to join in on the cruise with us. Yeah, his car wouldn't blend in with us at all, but figured I'd ask lol.
As Gary mentioned earlier, I expect to see some new faces attending this year as well!!
I know you guys might be a bit shy but come with us and have a good time
Everyone in last year's group was very very nice to be around and made the whole thing extremely worthwhile to attend. Hell, we even had folks coming in from other states which comprised around half the group!!
Looking forward to see everyone from last time if possible, and anyone new as well.
PS: If anyone needs/wants their knee bolster removed while at the cruise let me and Gary know! We can take em off for ya! :]

Thanks to all who came out for this beautiful day.
We had 10 Crossfires and Rudy in his Scion FR-S
Had a great time with all of you !!
Nice to see old friends as well as the opportunity to meet new ones!
Beautiful weather - sunny and cool by the Chicago lakefront.
We will be planning a few more days like this together this summer to other destinations.

Today was pretty damn awesome, can't find complaints about it other than not being able to stop at Montrose harbor by the lake. Weather was perfect, the cars were shiny, and best yet we had good company. We must make this a normal thing because our cars are made to be shown off
