l had that happen a few years ago. I found out that when I made the reservation, that I was connected to the national reservation center and even though I told them I wanted the Crossfire event discount, they booked me at full rate.
I would call the actual hotel and see if they can correct the rate.

Don't delay making your reservations
Make your reservations by calling the Sonesta Hotel at (248) 373-4100 then press "0" to reach the onsite reservation desk
Tell them you want a reservation with the room block for the "Crossfire Car Group 2024"

Guest room, 1 King only $95 + tax
Guest room, 2 Queens only $105 + tax
This is a reduced "group rate" for a weekend with high volume reservations throughout the area
Free cancellation up to 6:00 PM one day before arrival

 

Joe & I are registered for Memorial Park and hotel has been booked for Thursday - Saturday!

I just Called the Sonesta and changed our room from Deluxe - 2 Queen to a Deluxe - King
. Thank you for getting another block of rooms! (saving me enough $$ for five gallons of high test)

For those arriving on Thursday we will have a group dinner at the Moose Preserve at 5pm
All are invited but I'm trying to get a headcount so we can notify the restaurant about a week before the date of this Dinner (August 15 ,2024)

I will be coming and possibly my son will be joining me this year. Pat and Chris - Laurel, MD - staying Thursday - Sunday morning - 2005 SSB limited Roadster. We will be going to dinner on Thursday at the Moose Preserve. I will send in my parking pass application tomorrow morning. See everybody there!
