Are any of you meeting up to follow each other to get to the fall Tail of the Dragon GTG? I see 12 listed as going from these 4 states. I take 23 to 75 through Toledo OH. Any other Michiganders heading through there?

 

If nothing else, you can join the bunch meeting in Florence, KY on Friday morning.
It's being talked about here, not sure if it was in the main Dragon thread or where ?? But I konw I saw some talking about "meeting at the usualy place in Florence".
I guess that is on the KY side of the river on 75 south of Cincinnati.

Yes just found post 196. I may join up. I hope some of the other MI, OH, IN and IL people see that.

 

Most all the regulars meet there and know about it. If you get in early enough on Thursday, we have a late dinner together next to the hotel. Also if enough people get to Florence well before dinner, I plan to take a drive to downtown and surrounding areas it you are interested.

What time is early enough?

 

Our plan is to pull into Florence around 3:00 Thurs 10/3, do the drive with James1549, dinner at O'Charley's (6 or 7 maybe?), leave Florence Fri around 8:00, hopefully synch up with Ray & Susan somewhere along I -75, and arrive at Fontana sometime early afternoon.

KDW - Let me know what time you plan on leaving Alma and maybe we can hook up around Toledo.

Generally dinner is around 7ish on Thursday Night. If anyone wants to do an hour or so drive, I would say we should leave out about 5 pm to be back in time for dinner. Play by ear, we can make it shorter if needed. Open for suggestions.

I would guess from Comfort Inn on Turfway Road or possibly from where we eat breakfast. Maybe someone here has the details......

Thanks Jim, but if we are not there by 8AM, we fully expect you to leave without us. I have your cell number and can catch up on the interstate, but I will probably just give you a call when we are getting close so you know what is going on.

I never like being the one holding people up and we have a few hours to drive in the AM before getting to Florence so anything can happen...

 

Hello to all the Florence convoy cruisers

I was just doing some calculations .....
I'm guessing if you leave the Comfort Inn in Florence, Ky at 8am you will probably be right near the Tyson McGee airport about 12:00pm

My flight is due to arrive at this airport at 11:48am and I only will have a carry on bag so if it's on time I suspect that I can get my rental car and be on the road outside the airport by 12:15

Now I would love to follow all of you in the Florence convoy to the lodge in my rental if I can keep up...lol
So what do ya think...can I tag along if the timing works out right ??
I think most of you have my cell # and I have some of yours.
I can call a few of you as soon as I land and see where you are.

I'm following James on Friday morning down to the Dragon.

I'll be staying in KY overnight, but probably won't be arriving until 10pm, so I probably won't make it to the dinner.

Gary, you're more than welcome to tag along, if you can't catch them, I'll tag with ya if time goes right, since I'm not 100% sure if my GF is going to car sick or not. She did that to me once when I went down to Akron to meet with Mike (+Fireamx), so I better take it easy.
