Is there any plans on meeting up in Florence KY. thursday night and running together on down Friday?

 

I plan to leave Cincinnati/Florence area on Friday morning, in the past it has always been 8am.

 

If I bring the Crossfire I'm gonna drive all the way to Fontana Dam on Thursday
OR......

I might just take the fast way and fly into Knoxville and ride with Danimal in his new jeep all weekend

After a 17 hour trip to and from Colorado for CAA5 and driving in the Rocky Mountains for a week flying down sounds pretty good

 

James have you heard from any others on running with you Friday? I see only one MI car this year.

My wife and I are trying to get someone to house sit that weekend (I have too many cars, she has too many pets), should know in the next week or 10 days. I may make reservations this week though just to make sure we have a room. If everything comes together we are planning on meeting your group in Florence on Friday morning for the drive down.

Rapps and crossfirefrank are not confirmed but if they go they will travel with msxfire
Don't know for sure but they usually make the run straight through all the way on Thursday

Yup, that is what they did last year. I am still unsure which I will do depending on what runs come up for Friday VS sunday in Fontana.

Made our reservations yesterday and as of right now we are planning on driving down with your group on Friday morning. Did I read somewhere that some of your group meets in Florence on Thursday evening before the drive down on Friday?

 

Come down Thursday.... There are two runs planned for Friday. I will also be running hellbender hill and the dragon a few times
later n the day.

 

I am still on the fence as to what days to be at Fontana. With the two day run down it makes for an easy next two days without fatigue but the Friday runs look fun. I don't see those in post 6 of the TOD thread though. I am waiting to see what Sunday runs get posted to make a final decision. Either way there WILL be a group leaving from Florence Friday AM.

 

Yes, last year we met up at the hotel after we all checked in and did a mini tour of the area and a late dinner. Great fun! I hope James might be up for that again this year.

 

unfortunately I missed the Thursday night fun.

If he's up for it again, I'll be there since I'm moving down to Bloomington, IN and only 2 hrs away from Cincinatti instead of > 4.

I will be leaving Friday....so I will try to be there Friday morning....if alone... If Laura joins in, then we will probably already be past that point by 8 am. She likes to stop and eat breakfast, and I like to get a few miles in. So the compromise is usually leaving early and eating in Lexington...lol
