Default Warranty

I have been shopping for a crossfire convertible for a while. Still did not get one. I decided to check on the factory extended warranty the quotes I am getting are high.
8/80,000 factory warranty $1,795.00
4/48,000 factory warranty $1,600.00
Any one know a dealer who is working with forum members on a better price?

Nova... do as you wish but buying an extended warranty for ANY product is a rip-off.

Check out this thread and do a search, it has been discussed many times here.

these warranty prices are negotiable...

negotiate vehicle price 1st. do not commit to extended warranty until you are happy with vehicle price...

then negotiate warranty price... should you elect to get it...

this is the first time that i had ventured to get an extended warranty...

since i am putting at least 500 miles a week, i will have 36,000 on the XFby next year...

I believe I paid $1,600 for an 8 year, 100K mile DC warranty.

i paid for mine around $2,000 but they told me if i don't use it i get money back. plus i got life time oil changes for free. not bad deal i guess if you consider $100 for oil change.

$1,000 for 8/100k DC in oct '05 FREE OIL CHANGES FOR LIFE. but it is only good at the dealership i purchased the xf from...

i have changed oil twice now and haven't taken advantage of the free oil change... due to logistics.

i find if the dealer scores high in vehicle price they will take a hit on the warranty price... and vis-a-vis...

yeah if there is a method to the madness... they told me that if i didn't purchase the extended warranty then and there, down the road should i want to pick it up, it would easily double...

who knows?!?!? maybe i paid 3 grand more than i should have and they only charged me $1,000 for the warranty!

There is a dealer that sells DC extended warranty contracts on line. You can look at prices for various terms and deductibles, very competitive I believe.

Check it out at: www.eservicecontracts.com

If I had a Honda, I would avoid the ext wty. But this ain't a Honda.
Paid $1,600 for 60m/100K on my last two vehicles just before the factory
wty's ran out. Had over $4k of repairs on each under ext wty. I feel really
bad knowing I got ripped off.

I just purchased yesterday a 7/70 extended DC warranty from eservice. The cost with 0 deductible was $1,355.00. It was a lot cheaper then my Florida dealer.

I went back to page 1 of this tread and found that warranty 7 /70 o deductible plan # acx770m-0 for $ 890.00 looks like a factory chrysler warranty. You might want to look into that web sight if its the same warranty you can turn yours back in and buy from them.$ 1,170.00 for maximum car.
