Default Windscreen

Ok, so I kept looking at all the choices for a windscreen. Nice selection, but I figured I could make my own and save some money.

So I did it. A piece of Lexan, drill, saber saw, sand paper, file. It doesn't rattle...thanks to some little
clear cushion thingies I found.

It does a great job of blocking some of the wind from behind. I'm not getting hit all the time now.

Anyway pictures are posted in my Gallery.

Beautifully done! It is virtually transparent with no clumsy visible mounting hardware. If it works as good as it looks, you have created a real winner.

Wow, that's great! It looks awesome! What do you think your cost was with the time it took for you to make it? I just ordered one from a local guy who makes them for a good price. He uses clear straps to secure them to the roll bars. From the reviews of the product, it seems to buffet the wind and not rattle even at high speeds. His price was decent, too. $72.00. I have no skills with tools, so I thought this was a good deal!

24 x 15 Lexan was $32.00. It took about an hour and a half to make it. So the only cash out
was the Lexan. The rest was my labor. I don't know what the cost of my labor would be.

Is that a satellite radio antenna on the passenger roll hoop?

Yes it is. I haven't taken the time to mount my XM Radio anywhere yet. So I just placed
the antenna there. It works real well.
