Idea to draw owners to this site
I had the privilege of meeting a fellow Crossfire owner at a stoplight last night and in chatting with him, he had no clue this site existed.
So last night I was thinking - not sure if this would interest everyone - do you think it might be a neat idea to have a license plate frame that has this site listed at the bottom?
I was thinking a nice chrome frame with CrossfireForum.Org along the bottom and some unique design along the sides that resembles the hood or another unique item on the car. Mind you, I don't have the resources to create something like this but maybe someone on this site does??
We've some great ideas come up that people jump on, like those emblems, so consider this another idea.

Great idea, Sharon. I too have no idea how to do this, but this forum should be listed along with the sticker on any Crossfire car for sale! Ha...
I think as with any automotive forum, the people who seek them out are real car people. I've seen plenty of Crossfires driving around that I wouldn't be caught dead in, unless their owners cleaned them up and took more pride in their car. Car people they were not.
As for stickers or license plate frames with the site URL, I wouldn't want one on my car just because a www.whatever, IMHO looks tacky on any car. If your really interested, check with REDCROSS. He is into XFI stickers and sells them to forum members for $10 a wack. Maybe he could help you out, but on the other hand, he has sold only a little over one hundred in two years.
As for resources, any quality graphic/printing shop can do the decals for a very reasonable price. I had several "powered by Mercedes-Benz" decals made up for my windshield and door sills for under $20 (see the pic in my sig block).
Good luck with your idea.

I am just about to buy a Crossfire exactly like yours for my wife. I just love the blue, and the two tone interior combination.
Just one question, I notice that you have illuminated door sills, is the effect nice. What color is the illumination ?
And for last, Would you tell me where I could find this kit ?
Thank you in advance,
George

Oh my gosh...they are great! I found a link for one Mopar dealer:http://www.newmoparparts.com/mopar-accessories.htm. However, if you do a search in this forum for illuminated door sills, you will get a lot of other links for the part. I had mine installed by the dealer, but some have done this themselves. The instructions are kind of confusing to me. They are just pictures with no explanation. I let the experts do the install. I'll include some pics here...I love my sills and it's a must add-on if your wife as the Aero-blue, two-tone roadster...
The lights were a bit too bright, but you can see the illumination.
Here is the link for where I bought mine. They were really great about getting them to me, and they didn't charge me shipping?! I didn't ask why...just jumped on the order...

I also belong to a French car forum www.aussiefrogs.com which is devoted to all French Cars,
and they have a scheme where you just contact someone on the forum, send him your address and he sends you stickers (usually at no cost).
People usually have them in there cars, and if they see an old French car parked anywhere they will "sticker it".
I think it works here, because to drive an old French car, you have to be dedicated (maybe crazy) anyway (especially Citroen), and they only put the sticker on the glass anyway.
Also if you have a sticker on your car, it means you can't get stickered.

AussieXFire,
My daily driver is a 2005 Citroen C3 and I am also an aussiefrogger (C3PO). Might catch up with you on that forum some time.
Regards.

First the warranty will be void completely, and I also need to change the bumpers Foam under them... +/- $600.00 for that.
I will post about this matter on the forum, just to see if there is other people in the same situation.
Thank you,
George
Cool Ausfire, I'm "Doggie dog" on the forum, might catch ya there.
Makes you wonder, "what do Citroens and Crossfires have in common? And are Citroen types naturally drawn to the Crossfire?
