This whole auction could be nothing more than a charade to artificially inflate the price on not so desirable cars. People play all sorts of games on EBAY to get bidders attention and to alter their normal and common sense bidding attitudes.
This is exactly the way the whole "million dollar Cuda" phenomena got started a couple of years ago. And we've all seen how "out of hand" that's gotten.
There is no way of telling for sure if this car actually sells or not. But everybody who see's the auction is going to say, "Well if a flood damaged XF roadster can bring this much money, just think what my perfect one could bring". Just look at how much attention it's gotten right here on this forum alone.
IMO, I say pay no attention to it, because it's probably a farce. Nobody in their right mind would pay that much money for a car with a "flood" salvage title. Somebody is just running a scam.

I'm going to be talking to our Priest this weekend.
Besides, who in their right mind would buy a car from someone who goes by the name "Ozzieozon".

Wow ! There’s one born every day. I can't believe someone would pay so much for THAT car. There’s a certified 2005 roaster in my town for sale at a dealership asking price $21,900 and I'm sure you could knock them down some on the price.
I e-mailed the seller "Ozzieozon"
... last night asking why he would not add to the listing that the car has 'no warranty'. Here's his answer.
Keep in mind that if you read this guy's feedback, you will find negative feedback from Katrina damaged car buyers. So, this is not his first one.
That is up to the buyer to find out. I just sell the cars. This car list for $30,000, So with the money you save you can get it serviced many times.
Thanks, Ozzie

It's Back...
I guess the winning bidder bailed out.
Let's see how much it goes for the second time around.

the seller must be into the water business...

the positive... at least he is disclosing they are ALL flood cars. unlike some shady car sellers. the blind bidding is another story.

Granted his response to FPMartinez leaves a lot to be desired as does his ratings, but he does disclose that it is a flood damage vehicle and the photo spread of the car is impressive. I didn't notice any water residue marks in the instrument panel from the pictures but they could be deceiving or they could have been changed. Judging from the pictures only if you could get that car for under $8K I think a person could have some fun with it. I definitely believe you would recoup you money plus even if you parted it out.

Yea, it is that competitive auction mentality that gets people to pay more then what they should. Sometimes it resembles a feeding frenzy I know I have caught myself bidding more then I knew I should for items just because someone was outbidding me.
