Question 2007 Auto Shows - any Crossfires

I attended the Michigan Auto Show in Grand Rapids a couple weekends ago and while there was a lot of DC product, there were no Crossfires. Anybody attend the Detroit Auto Show or any others recently where DC was actually marketing our car?

How the heck do they expect to create buzz and juice sales if they don't display the best looking car they ever made?

I think I read that there was one at the Detroit Show.

Since you are a fellow Michigander, are you up for the Woodward Ave weekend in Motown. Looks like a bunch of us are going to get together. See link below:

No Crossfire at the Houston show. However, they did have one picture of a Crossfire.

Because the XF as beautiful as it is, was a bad project for DC. It was never marketed properly, nor priced competitively initially. Why would anyone pay $40 - $50K for a Chrysler competing with G35, MB, or a Porsche Boxter? So, they have given up on it, and have scrapped any future production they had originally planned. Just love and enjoy this unique car for what it is. I wouldn't trade it for any one of those. I get too much enjoyment, and as it has been said here before, the head-turning is invaluable.

They had a red 2006 coupe in Detroit. Go to this thread for more:

RPM -

Good idea. I'd like to sample at the Royal Oak Brew Pub again. Why don't you start a thread and try to entice some other Michiganders?

The LA Auto Show in November had a '05 SRT6 on the floor. There were more people checking it out than any of the other Chryslers there. Of course the booth dudes and babes knew nothing about it!

They had a yellow roadster and a red coupe at the chicago auto show yesterday. They were stuck all the way at the back and I didn't see anyone look at them except for me.

Went to the Dayton, Ohio car show...No Crossfires but a prototype Firepower? Talked to dealer and they sold me a Special edition Roadster discounted 10.5k...2006 title with 10/2005 build date. Car still in wrap. Took it home, cleaned and Waxoyl sealed. Acquired leather seats from Ebay with console/switches for heated seats. Deeply impressed and with luck will see no other wrenches than mine.
