Default Is this a good deal ?

My '04 coupe is about to come off of lease, and I am entertaining the thought of upgrading to a roadster. My dealer has a base '06 6-speed that he says he will sell me for $24,900. Is that a reasonable price or can I do better for a new base roadster?

Also, I noticed (probably old news to most of you) that Chrysler dropped the 7/70 powertrain warranty on all cars and also dropped the free loaner car program that they had on the Crossfire and 300 back when I got my coupe in '04.

Anyway, if you guys could give me some insight on what an '06 roadster should go for these days, I'd appreciate it.

Meh, not a base...if it were a Limited then I'd say yes but all the luxury amenities in the '04 are going to be gone and all you're getting is a higher insurance premium and the top down for your money to blow away. You can easily find a '05 Limited Roadster for the same price and still get every option available. The 6 spd might be your only setback.

Look around you're bound to find a manual roadster somewhere.

Right in your alley if you like the Silvery Blue and 9K miles.

If you want a roadster in that price range - go for a used Limited. If you want to stick with the coupe - you could almost get a used SRT6 coupe for that.

Bought my 2006 Crossfire Roadster on Monday at local dealer. Sticker was $35,500 and I paid $23,600. It is a "Special Edition" which is a Base roadster with the SRT6 wheels and a couple other small changes. I'd suspect that is what you are looking at. And so far I love it.

If you want to drive up to Jackson, MI. I've got a buddy at a dodge dealer who has a couple '05 limited roadsters with 7k for low 20's. If I remember one is white and one is graphite gray. Both look showroom new.

I think you should be able to talk them down. A dealer here in Michigan had one in the local paper a week ago for just under $19,000. That's a great deal for a new '06, even if it doesn't come with the 7/70,000 powertrain warranty.
