Default Regular Roadster vs. Limited?

So what are the differences between the limited and regular roadsters for the '05 model? I'm thinking I may have made a mistake. From looking around and the reading I had done I thought it was just the leather seats, tire pressure sensors and fog lamps. Now I’m learning there were powered seats, seat heaters, and better stereos with powered subwoofers? Is this true? Anything else I missed out on? I originally decided on the regular b/c I didn’t want leather b/c it makes me sweat easier with the top down and I knew my dog would ruin it, but I still wanted him to be able to ride around with me on a nice day.

All the things you list are different along with several other things. This thread covers the differences pretty well.

Thank you for that link. I didn't realize all of that. I guess I'm sort of happy since I didn't want leather and I actually don't like all of the silver on the exterior, especially the windshield trim. I like my all black look. However, I'm sort of upset that I missed out on the better stereo, the heated & power seats, and the cupholder. A useless cupholder would be better than no cupholder, no? Oh well, I don't really need to adjust my seat much. It goes all the way down and all the way back. Pretty simple for me.

I love my Base Roadster, too. Here is a great workaround for a cup holder - it's a bit shallow, but does the trick pretty well.

So does that cupholder thing really stay in place? I'll have to think about it and my other options. I may just find one to custom mount somewhere, maybe to the floor?

It does stay in place OK, but you can put some velcro on it to hold it in place. As I said before, it is a bit shallow - a medium soda can go flying if you don't brace it in with something. (Don't ask me how I know that)...

Yea but the limited cupholder is so beautiful. Open or closed. Its like a work of Da Vinci when i pop it up and put my Taco Bell cup in there.

So if I got a hold of a limited’s cup holder and removed the little “slot” in my crossfire, would I be able to install the cup holder? I do like my little slot. It holds my BB fairly well as well as my iPod.

You're better off with the slot instead of the cupholder. I never use my cupholder and may wind up replacing it with a slot instead.

The cupholder is a pain in the a$$ with a manual, completely worthless and annoying when you accidentally hit it and it pops up. Poor design. Would much prefer an unblemished console.

Probably the only thing that ticks me off about the car other than the absence of HID lights as an option.

PS - I think the Ltd had high-back seats which may not have been available on the standard car.

I really wish the car came with HIDs. And I'll just have to deal without a cup holder... but I mean come on... 0 cup holders?

All of the options on the Limited make the car even more beautiful. If you can afford it, do it. Trust me, all the little extra bells and whistles (yes, even the dorky cup holder) will make it that much more of an enjoyable ride. I've seen the two side-by-side and I'm glad I have the Limited. I feel spoiled - actually, I am spoiled!

Actually - one thing that the base gives you that the limited doesn't have - lumbar adjustment on the seats.

This is true.

If comparing a black roadster to a black roadster limited, I'd take the base model on looks alone anyday. That windshield trim just kills it on the limited.

And I couldn't have leather b/c of the dog.
