New Crossfire Limited Owner
Hello everyone, I've been lurking about for the past 2 to 3 weeks reading all the posts and trying to find if these Crossfires were great cars or a piece of junk like I have heard some people say. Although I have noticed that some have had problems, it doesn't seem out of the ordinary that one would see with any make of automobile. We bit the bullet this afternoon and traded the wife's '05 300C for an '06 Alabaster White Limited Roadster. The kids are all driving on their own now and we rarely have more than the 2 of us riding along, if we do we will just use the Grand Cherokee. She has wanted a convertible all her life so with our 10th anniversary coming up next week we decided to treat each other with a fun toy.
Although her favorite was the classic yellow, I just could not find one at a decent price without having to travel 1,000 miles to get one.
I think we got a pretty good deal: $28,500 for a brand new model, after trading in her 300C with 41,000 miles we had to kick in another $3,500.
Sticker on this Crossfire was $41,995.
Now I'm ready to get a windscreen, lighted sill plates and a sprint booster.
Any other goodies I should know about?

Congratulations and welcome to the BEST Crossfire Forum! GREAT COLOR CHOICE.
I would suggest lowering your car with the Eibach Pro Kit. The ride, handling and look is much improved.

Congratulations on your new XFire. You will really enjoy it. There is a great group of very friendly and knowledgeable people here. Don't be afraid to ask questions.
Welcome.
Welcome.
Welcome aboard. I'm afraid I have some bad news for you. The trouble with having a Crossfire is other cars are very dull after you get used to driving a Crossfire.
I love my car and have had zero trouble with it. BTW get used to people looking at it every where you go.

I just happened to stop at a dealership today to browse the lot (they were closed) and spotted an '06 yellow LTD in the showroom stickered at $31,500.
