Default Rear LED Brake light bulbs

Some of the rear brake LED bulbs are out or blinking, any idea how to get to them ? The owners manual doesn't even mention them and after removing the trunk top cover its not obvious...any ideas ?

i'm pretty sure its an enclosed assembly; you'll have to replace the whole strip.

Correct. If you're within the 3yr/36k warranty, the strip should be covered.

I have the coverage, I would rather get the module and do it myself, I wonder if they would do that ??? I really would rather the grease monkeys didn't touch the ride!

Dennis...Do a search on "Third brake light replaced". I posted this and it tells you how to do it yourself! Let me know how it goes.

Hi Dennis,

Did you ever buy and replace your third brake LED light?? Did you find the thread that I recommended to you? If so...was it helpful?

Ben,

Yes the information was helpful. The dealer ended up doing the repair under warrenty. However knowing the procedure ahead of time helped me to educate them in the event they didn't know how to do it. Thank you for your info.
