Unhappy No Cupholder on '06 Roadster Special Edition?

I had read about how horrible the cupholders in the Crossfire were, so I was not too surprised that I couldn't find the one in mine when I picked up the car. After looking online, I found that where my cupholder should be, I instead have a little "cellphone holder"??

Is the car supposed to be this way? Based on the photos I've seen online, it should be where the "cellphone holder" is at the bottom of the pic.

Your car is supposed to be this way. The base models and the Special Editions did not have cupholders, they have little 'storage bins.'

Your standard storage bin is what several owners have opted for to replace their broken cupholders under warranty.

The cup holder works though. Its does not open or close 100% of the time, but it works. I usually have a travel mug which fits perfectly. The styrofoam/paper cups are a different story.

What is that little switch right above the cupholder? Below the window switches?
