Default Yellow color?

Hi, I want a yellow or red roadster-man all the colors look good. I can't find a yellow to see the color and the internet pictures all look different. My question is how does it compare to the pastel yellow on the pt cruiser?

Thanks in advance,
Ed.

The above image is a real good representation of what it looks like. The Chrysler image in their catalogs and web site look like a bright gold, its nothing like that. Its a little more yellow than the PT but much more subtle than any of the New Beetle yellows. Like you said, it looks great in every color.

Nice pics, but that color is very subjective and hard to photograph. Depending on the lighting conditions, the
car could look lighter or darker than it actually is, more so than the other colors maybe with the exception of
the SSB cars. I would say it's best to go see one up close and personal before deciding...

The pale yellow color on the Crossfire is Called PY3 Classic Yellow Clearcoat. The 2007 PT color is called PYDA Pastel Yellow Clearcoat. I personally can't see anything between them. Just my $.02. I've had 4 yellow through my dealership in the last 3 months. All sold very fast. (Our last one was delivered on Saturday.) When I spoke with my buyer about replacing it with another, he showed me where an under 5,000 mile Automatic Roadster brought OVER $24,000 at the sale. I was shocked. To say that they are getting thin is an understatement. We did just pick up a gold roadster, but I believe it has the 6-speed manual. If you want a black or red, We are dealing, but the yellow is getting tough to replace.

Village Jeep Royal Oak Michigan has/had a yellow roadster, $25,000 and some change, looked good, needs new head lights (warrenty?) water/damp in them, around 12,000 miles or so. Was there Thursday before Saturday's Dream Cruise. Good luck. It's the only color for us. Husband say's "it's a chick magnet, girls love it, always looking at it/him, put in our dog (a Yorkie another chick magnet) and you won't ever leave a parking lot!

Here is a yellow on Ebay.

Hi Ed...I was just over at my dealers today and they just got in an '05 roadster in the yellow color w/6 speed. Very pretty and if I remember right it had about 20,000 miles on it.
I purchased our crystal red roadster at their dealership two weeks ago and I'm very happy both in the dealership and the car.
They are Lieth Chrysler Jeep at Cary Auto Park West if that's not too far to go. Here's their particulars...hope I'm not breaking any rules here.

Good luck, they just got in about six used models including an SRT6 in Gray.

Oh and there's a red one too but it might be a coupe...I can't recall. I haven't seen the pastel yellow on the PT Cruiser yet so I can't compare but this X-Fire is a very light, creamy yellow.

Terry,

Bought my 2005 Ltd SSB Roadster from them in March 2005 in North Carolina & Drove it home to Florida, a Good Dealer! Bought my 2005 SRT6 SSB Roadster in Florida July 2007 & drove it home to North Carolina, what's the odds in that happening?

Howdy Bill, sorry...many changes in my life right now so sorry I wasn't clear about home. We recently relocated from Houston Texas to Cary North Carolina. Our apartment is situated such that if you go out the back door your in Morrisville and out the front door you are in Cary. As I understand it we are in the suburbs of Raleigh. But we are right off Research Triangle Park. A place for technology based businesses situated .directly between Raleigh and Durham. Does that help? LOL!
I'm just a displaced Texan at the moment...not sure how to deal with all these hills and trees!

Bought both off the net & went and picked up & drove Home. 1st Time (3/05) I bought in NC & lived in Florida. 2nd Time (7/07) I bought in Florida & I live in North Carolina, I relocated about 2 years ago. I searched all 48 States for the one I wanted, at the right price. What are the odds of that Exact Reverse happening?

Sounds like you should count yourself very lucky. I have enjoyed the crew at Cary Auto Park. We also bought a new Dodge Nitro RT at the same time. Just got it delivered two nights ago. It too is a beautiful little ride...in a totally different way than the Crossfire of course. I'm hoping I can get our digital camera set up on this new laptop so I can get some pictures posted.
From the quote I take it you are a Marine? I was Navy 75-79.

Believe me, there are two very different classic yellows with the SAME PY3 CODE.
I have the lighter (primrose) yellow roadster. I contacted my local dealer with the VIN number, they confirmed the code was PY3 classic yellow.
Had the paint mixed up by a guy on the internet, when it arrived it was far too dark. Contacted him & he said that he had checked again, & this was the only paint formulation coming up on his system.
Did some research in Google by typing in Crossfire PY3 & you can see the difference in the Crossfire PY3 classic yellows.
All i want is to touch in some chips on the door edges.
Anyone able to ship me a stick of the lighter shade from the states?? as i give up over here...!!!

Now that we own a CF roadster, I've started looking for them when I'm driving. I saw one of the yellow ones yesterday when my wife and I were out. That's a yellow that you'll have to see in person to see if you like it. Looking through the pictures that have been posted here, I can say that seeing it in person in the sun looks different. It's not the typical yellow ...

As someone that has a yellow Roadster, the yellow on the Cruiser is the same color... soft, pale, daffodil yellow...

To me, its the prettiest color of them all (and I know that remark will get some reactions from some of you!!).
