New '06 Ltd Roadster - Too fun!
It's my wife's fault - she made the mistake of saying she really liked the looks of the Crossfire...
We started looking that weekend. Big mistake - drove a used SRT first. Very nice, very fast - thought about it too long - missed out on that one.
Finally settled on a new off the showroom floor LTD Roadster (It had been sitting there so long the batter was dead!). Price and warranty were more powerful than a used SRT. I was happy with the price - now I am even happier with the car.
I have been scouring the forum for a couple of weeks and have learned much. Thanks for everyone sharing the wealth of knowledge that is here.
Things I have already learned here: It's not an SLK; Luggage comes with the car (after a few weeks and if the sticker says so... and I though a toaster from the bank was spiffy...); It DOES have a Coin holder (missed that one completely); No MP3 cd's; How to open the hood more; and that I can't afford all the mods I want!!!
Specifically thanks to:
And yes, I just joined XFI!
And no, I am not a University of Texas Ex / (Tex-X) - that would be a Crossfire X!

Specifically thanks to:
- Andrew - my first mod - re-badged by Andrew!
- Golfdude - great detailing thread - I had never used a clay bar before - way impressed - car looks great.
- MMZ_TimeLord - got me looking for a Becker 2660 cd-changer (which I have snagged) - thanks for the legwork
- FP - fine, the same day I get the CD changer I read about your phatbox - now I have to rethink the cd-changer (may be for sale!) - once again - thanks for blazing the trail

Don't forget the Gold Rotex brake pads. They are virtually dustless. You will get tired of cleaning the front rims every other day.
CONGRATS ON YOUR NEW RIDE!

Welcome, Have had my Grey '05 roadster for 3 months now. It is everything that I thought it would be. Have yet to mod it at all. I have the cedar interior, haven't seen too many Grey exterior with the red, what's yours?
Thanks!
Pics are in the plans - just been too busy driving and having fun!
My interior is the Dark Slate Gray / Medium Slate Gray - looks good. I will be planning on the rotex gold - already have a dislike for the brake dust!

Welcome - Once bitten by the XF bug you get hooked.
They are fun to drive, a joy to look at, and I think if taken care of, will give years of trouble free driving.
Only a flat tire will ruin the day.
Have fun.

Congrats and welcome. Chrome mods look great on the gray. I was at the Woodward cruise and a couple with a yellow roadster liked my gray so well when they returned home they traded it in for the gray.
We/I'm saving my pennies now to purchase all that shiny chrome you have on your car!!
Installed the illuminated sills last weekend and the illuminated windscreen this morning, FP is working on a discount on the Gold Brake Pads, then the chrome comes next I guess.
Thanks again for showing off your car to Elaine.

If you need advise on purchasing chrome wheels, roll-bars ect. pm me and I'll be glad to help you out. Also if you would like your silver door handles painted gray I have a local body shop which will do it for about $80.
Well FRANK I think you have already 'helped' enough!!
Now Elaine is wondering if maybe we could just swap cars with you to save on my having to run around buying and installing all the new mods for hers???
The only thing holding her back from asking is the "No wash zone" you have on your car, since I must wash hers every second day, so it looks nice and shiny for her drive to work, surrounded by all those guys in the Mustangs!
She likes to show them the view from her tail pipes. lol.

Jonathan - seeing how you have a srt6 vs my ltd. I think I could overlook the no wash zone for this trade ha ha. Just let me know when and were and don't forget you title.
