Just back in from the garage with the micrometer.
At the lowest point the shaft is .400" in Dia.
It reduces to .350"
And then has a key (flat portions) that is .240"
The keyed portion from top to bottom is .790"

.350" = 8.9mm
.240" = 6.1mm
.790" = 20.06 mm
