Default help

ok so i'm pretty much a noob here but i'm just wondering around...this is my first post, and i'm thinking about buying an '06 limited roadster, its in good shape...all that stuff...like 4,500 miles and its like $21,000 or around there.

but my real concern is pretty much the gas mileage...what does it really get???

what are some pros/cons for the car??

Yeah on premium fuel...21K isn't bad at all for a 06 Limited Roadster.

Cons: ...Let me think about that one for a while.

As you know gas mileage will vary with the way you drive traffic etc. However, the last I checked mine it was 24 and that was with fairly aggressive driving.

I must be doing something wrong, I am getting 27.
Only had the car for 2 weeks but the first two tanks averaged 27. First tank was driving it home from PA where I found it very easily cruises at 110.

I have owned 6 Porsches but have become a devoted owner of the Xfire. If they made the SRT-6 in a manual would have loved to have one of those.

LOVE MY XFIRE.

That's probably on the hiway most of these are city driving mpg. I myself average 30 mpg on the hi-way but city I've never checked.

the cons are:

the dealership mechanics flat out are dumb and have a difficult time working on the car, maybe it's improved?

limited aftermarket, but growing.

throttle response is slow but can be fixed with a sprint booster.

oh yeah, they have a tendancy to get rust behind the weather stripping at the lower edege of the doors. pull out the bottom strip and inspect.

brake dust gets everywhere.

shift **** sucks.

no felts under the plastics in the rear bulkhead so it will creek and queak when travelling over bump roads.

the roadsters, I've heard would leak at the seal, but I think DC has a new seals installed, get this checked after purchase, so they can fix with warrantee.

2004 6sp cars pop out of 1st gear, need tsb synchro fix.

That's a good price, especially with that mileage. Don't worry about MPG, it's not like you're looking at Denali or some other gas guzzler. You'll like the roadster!
