Smile New to Site, New to Crossfire

Hi everyone, I am new to the Crossfire site and am loving it. Last week I purchased a 2005 roadster limited with only 7,600 miles on it. It is sapphire silver blue metallic and in MINT condition with all the extras. A local woman who owns 5 vehicles traded it in to my local dealership. (it was her play toy) Last June I purchased an 06' convertible Sebring, loving the top down, I spotted the Crossfire at the dealership last week and fell in love at first sight. After a lot of talk and crunching numbers, I traded in the Sebring and drove away in my new Crossfire for $20,000. The dealership knocked off $2,500. The first owner paid $41,000. I guess I really lucked out on this deal. It is a real beauty and handles like no other car I have ever driven. I am in heaven, only problem is, Winter is here and I will hate to drive it in the snow. I hope my husband lets me drive his second car on snow days! Well anyway, Hi everybody.

Patty

Yeah Tim, this is Patty and upstate NY is awfully cold right now. No top down for me for awhile. But thanks for welcoming me to the forum, I appreciate it.

Patty,
I really didn't want you to feel bad... This is the time of the year we really look forward to. Tonight it will be in the upper 40's and tomorrow high's in the lower 70's. Sounds like you need to plan a drive down. Be careful in the snow and take care!

I have family that I never see in upstate NY. When ever I hear someone talk about upstate in NY they talk about Albany or something in the lower part like that. I lived in Plattsburgh many years ago and that's upstate!!

Hootie Whooo, I'm new too!!! We purchased our '05 Limited Roadster about 6 weeks ago and love it. It was a one owner play car with 13K miles. Now it is our play car and my wife and I enjoy taking it out on a regular bases. We currently live in So Cal so most of our outings are top down and exploring locations we have not been to yet. We would love to participate in any So Cal cruises to meet other owners.

Thank you, I find this forum very interesting and look forward to meeting other CF owners. You are right these are great little cars. Evertime I get behind the wheel I'm even more impressed.

Do yourself a favor and don't drive it in the winter. While the stability control and ABS work well, the tires are not made for snow and it has too much power to weight for a rear wheel drive car. Besides, there are lots of careless idiots out there. Keep it for those sunny beautiful days and always drive with your top down.
