Default Beginning of the end

Hey guys, to make a long story short (I wrote a whole long thread on the coming to an end of my Crossfire experience and what lead to it) when the power cut out and I lost the whole entry. My lease is up in 3 months and I just took delivery of my Crossfires replacement, a 1 year old Carrara White Porsche Boxster with 3,952 miles. I will miss you all and the multiple times each day I would check to see whats up on the Forum but I will check back from time to time to say hello and see who is still around. I REALLY tried to remain a Crossfire owner but my salesman of 14 years sealed my fate by dragging his feet and by the time he got serious about looking for a car for me all the '08 XF's that I would have accepted were gone. Needless to say I will now swear off Chryslers and Jeeps. I have owned 9 in the last 14 years besides referring at least 5 others to this salesman. Had I been able to get a new XF for 30K or less I would have hung in there but in light of the gas situation (I've been driving Grand Cherokees and Wranglers for 14 years) and the direction Chrysler is going (Cerberus and Chinese front drive Dodge Demons) I think that'll be it for me. I've got a bunch of Crossfire goodies to sell and will list them in the parts for sale thread. If you're interested in something, look at my gallery as most of the items I'm selling are pictured there. If you want send me a PM with your best offer and we'll go from there. I'll still be around for 3 months or so till my lease is up so you're not getting rid of me so quickly but I just wanted to say what a pleasure its been to hang out with all of you every day (often several times a day). Best to you all, Marc (buggy4crossfires).

Unfortunate to hear! I won't feel too bad for 'ya though...there's a lot worse vehicles to drive than a Porsche!

buggy4crossfires,

Sorry to see a Great Regular go to the Other Side!

Hey, why don't you come down to the Dragon Weekend in early April, and say goodbye to 50+ of us, you'll still be a Member w/ a Great XFire?

Maybe you would change your mind, after a Super Weekend! You can still buy an SRT6, Low Miles, Like New for under $25K, with an 7/70 or 8/80 Bumper to Bumper Warranty Included, just a thought!

My Best Wishes for you for the Future!
Bill (SF)

Marc
I guess I found the answer to my question from your other thread. Sorry to see you go but I'm happy with your choice. I'm sure you'll be very happy with the Porsche, IMO the ultimate Sports Car. I hear what you're saying about the GC, I still got mine and knock on wood I haven't needed to refer to the Service Manual I got from you. Thanks again for that.
Keep in touch and good luck with the Porsche.

Sorry to see ya go, in the short time I have been on the forum your threads were always helpful, thanks
You are picking the ride I would have gone to but closest dealer is over an hour away; already do that trip with my wifes Audi Avant - didn't want to do 2. Enjoy - the boxer is a truly great car.

A Porsche is a nice alternative and should keep the fun going for years to come.
Stop back here every so often and maybe even post a few Porsche pics.
Never say goodbye.
