Default Trailer Hitch

This is going to sound like a stupid question but has anyone ever put a trailer hich on a crossfire? Since I can't find a luggage rack to fit what about towing a small trailer on long trips...

You are telling the guy the hitch works only on the 4 door xf, right? Not true.

This guy did it,

You guys make me laugh. My Crossfire is my daily driver and race car. I am probably the one who was mentioned for having switched to a single exhaust offset on the driver's side rear so I could mount my trailer hitch to tow my race tires and tools to events. I bought the pieces from Rigid hitch to make the hitch and welded it all up myself about a year ago now. The car has towed my tire trailer close to 2,000 miles by now with no problems what so ever. Here is a picture of the hitch setup:

Function over form is much more important to me and since I can't afford a truck that is reliable enough to tow my car I devised up the trailer hitch. Everyone has their own priorities so why flame them for it?
Here is another picture from the rear of the car.

Just as a piece of general information: I was told by a highway patrolman, that it's illegal in most states to tow anything behind a convertible. Something about, "if the trailer flips forward in an
accident, there's no roof to protect the driver."

Larry, have you thought about coming up with some sort of custom "treatment" to cover all that exposed area where the muffler use to be?
Maybe "louvers" on either side of the hitch.

Not that I'm considering it, but were I to go the hitch route if/when my wife and I start driving around the country to visit friends, I'd certainly try to customize the pipe to look like these vice just a round one off to one side.
