Caught in the rain!
I went to sleep last night and my Crossfire was not in the garage. It rained last night and the top was down. There seems to be a fair bit of water between the seat back and the seat cushion but everything else seems to be okay. In fact I had a small packet of kleenex in the mesh door pocket which did not get wet at all.
After I stopped freaking out, I dried off the seats and checked the storage compartment - everything in there is dry.
I will take the mats out and ensure everything is dry. Is there anything I should be worred about?
Am I the only one to do something bonehead like this?

LOL..........I'm sure we can all attest to some lame brain stunt that we most rather keep to ourselves !!!
The electronics are probably the thing I would concern myself with the most, window switches, dash panel switches, etc, etc.
Good luck gettin " Lucy " dried out !

Wow sorry to hear that.
It is a funny story though. Did any of the audio related parts get wet?
Too bad you didn't have video of this, you could've been a YouTube star. Like my Grandfather used to say, This to shall Pass.

Okay, I have now been warned - I don't want to lose Lucy!
Nothing on the console seemed to be wet. The only water was on the seats. Maybe it did not rain much but the roads were wet!
Hey, I am a confident women - I am never afraid to admit doing dumb things. I just got some blonde streaks in my red hair - I have lots of fun bugging the blondes at work but they are giggling at me today!
It's a very hot day here and I just checked the car again. Under the mats, it is completely dry and there is no evidence Lucy took a "shower".

and for those of you who like a visual picture - I ran outside at 5:30 am, in a nightgown not fit for public view with my hair sticking up like Buckwheat's. I woke up with a start and remembered the car was not in the garage. If my neigbours were awake, I am sure they had a giggle too.

LTCG
We were in Old Town, Alexandria last week (saw only one Crossfire) and while eating at a restaurant the area was DELUGED with a major downpour. Across the street, for over an hour a BMW vert was sitting with the top down. As the water started building up in the car, more and more people braved the torrential rain to watch in horror (or delight) hoping that the owner would be back while they were stuill there. It was pretty funny - but only because it wasn't my car.
You might want to take out the floor mats and carpet (if possible) and let them dry separately. Otherwise milldew and a little stinkiness (is that a word?) might occur...
Underneat the seats is the carpet. The carpet is then bonded to a thick, heavy closed cell urethane foam (this is partly why the car is so quiet.) Underneath the foam is the car's floorpan sheet metal and one large diameter wiring harness.
In the long term, what you really have to be worried about is electrical corrosion. I would recommend lifting up the carpet on the passenger side and feeling around the wiring harness. The big problem areas are the parts of the carpet not covered by the closed-cell foam underneath - this area can easily admit water onto the floorpan.
If it is dry on the floorpan, then you have nothing to worry about except for a funky smell, perhaps.
Don't you think they should have come up with a convertible top that automatically closes when the car is off and it starts to rain??

No harm, no foul... You have just taught us all a valuable lesson. I did have to pull over last week and put the top up as it began to sprinkle. I wonder if that's the pics. of the woman I just saw on You Tube today, it was hillarious... Just kidding.. Enjoy that ride.
My roadster got douched one afternoon it's first summer. I removed the floormats, moved it into a sunny spot on the driveway, and left her alone for a few hours. I did move the seats all the way forward at one point so the rear of the cockpit could get a little sun and dry.
Three years later no problems, no smell.

Don't sweat it, many have been caught topless and lived to tell...
Got Pic's??

At times my fiance and I will hang out in his man-garage complete with beer-fridge and dart board. We were playing darts and getting "tipsey". In order to play darts we have to move my baby out of the garage.
All I can say is I woke up about 4am and thought... On no, I left my baby in the drive... (She has never spent a night out). So I ran out and thankfully she was in the garage...
I asked Mr Man the next morning... "Did you move her in?" "No you did"...
Note to self... not only should you not drink and drive, but that goes for your own driveway as well....
