Default Side Front QTR pannel CHROME vents

I see allot of folks have the chrome front quarter panel vents. Where can I get them from ? These plastic black ones gotta go !!

With everyone's great advice...I've managed to spend my retirement funds. I did the clay bar thing....5 hours. I redid the rag top with the Raggtopp cleaner and sealer...got the wind breaker with the Crossfire logo... Looking for some more BLING BLING !!!

There's a couple places that have them. But the one that comes to mind is www.tvtdesign.com. He's got a bunch of Crossfire stuff, including a variety of chrome accents - exterior and interior. Enjoy!

5hrs.? you're doing something wrong shouldn't take more than 1/2hr to clay after you have washed the car.
As far as bling i would also go with tvt.

I take about 3 hrs to clay bar and I thought I was doing it right. When I first started, I went by sound, when I could no longer hear stuff "scraping" I'd go to the next patch. After doing this every weekend, I've learned to go by the "slide" I printed out the instructions from "Golferdude" and "Mike-in-Orange" to start with. What am I doing wrong to be doing so long??

You maybe right. It was the first time I've ever clayed a car before. Secondly I wanted to be sure I got every nook and cranny I could get to. I was afraid to do too much area, it was HOT out that day and even in the shade the Mother's California Gold Shotetime Instant detailer I was using to lube up the surface...was drying pretty fast. All in all, maybe now that it's been done once...I won't find too many "ruff" spots next time.

I'm with Tony on this one, its should not take more than 1/2 to and hour tops to claybar your entire car. We did a wash, clay and 2 coats of Zaino and a coat of detail spray in just over three hours a few weeks ago on Imafink's roadster. The polish was put on by hand and buffed off with a Porter Cable.

Sorry, I thought you were talking about the kind of windbreaker jacket for wear.

Are the grills on the side actually functional? If they are not is there a way to divert the temperature from the engine bay out?

Haha, I wasn't referring to the chrome, I meant in general the side vents.

In a word, "no" they aren't functional, but with enough money most anything "automotive" is possible.
Personally I think the easiest way to get the good air in the compartment, and the bad air out is probably thru hood modifications. (What else?)

As far as I know kit they're not functional at all. But I don't see why one couldn't MAKE them functional... But as far as actually ducting heat out...unless you're doing some kind of hood mod to create a vacuum I don't see it actually doing much of anything.
