Good-bye Crossfire...
Last week Wednesday I said good-bye to my Crossfire and said hello to a much larger car - a Jeep Liberty. While it was done with mixed emotions, it truly was the right thing to do when all was said and done.
The Crossfire is a truly gorgeous car and I will miss driving around 'topless' but now its time for my new adventures.
Thanks to everyone for all your support when I was going through the problems with the car, my family and just having off days. Many of you will always have a place in my heart - for that I thank you.
Thanks for the memories, take care and enjoy your Crossfire!
See you around...
Sharon

These goodbye threads are always tuff.
I wish you the best but ask that you still check back in once in awhile.
Post on this farewell thread so we know you are alive and well.
My best, Gary

Sharon,you looked very happy here

Bummer
But, you have to do what's right for you. I bet 6 months from now when you see a xfire, you're going to wish you had it back. Sports cars stay in your blood. Especially these special cars.
Best wishes!

Seriously, it's a hard decision, but ya gotta do what you gotta do. Have fun with the jeep thing and take comfort that others wouldn't understand.
Maybe you can come back some other day.

And I agree with you 100%.
Some People!
I am only sorry that I never got to meet you at one of the Florida GTG's When I first joined the forum you were very active and very positive. It was unfortunate when your car was keyed and other issues that you were dealing with that were higher priorities.
Don't be a stranger you will always be a XF fan and a part of this community. You can always drive your new Jeep to a XF GTG.
GOOD LUCK

Hi Sharon;
I never have met you, but from what I have read you seem like a wonderful person. Life is short, you need to do what makes you happy. Don't take anything negative personally, it's just the way some people are. I know you will miss your car. Maybe someday when the timing is right you will be a crossfire family member again. Bye and take care, hope you have fun in your new persuits.

You didn't lose a car, you gained a spare tire. I hope you don't get altitude sickness from the much higher drivers position. The Crossfire and other sports cars are very limiting. You need to have access to another vehicle if you need to haul people or "stuff". You have your "Crossfire Memories" and that is something most people don't have.
Enjoy your new Jeep.
Enjoy your new Jeep.
Sharon,
Good luck to you.
My daily driver is a 2006 Liberty. Love everything about this beast except for the bad gas mileage. It's my go-anywhere, do-anything vehicle and it allows me to have a Crossfire in the garage for warm, sunny days.
Hopefully some day you will have both.
Good luck to you.

Sharon-
My daughter has a Liberty, and she loves it! It seems like a nice, solid vehicle. I have a yellow Crossfire roadster, like your old one, but I have a Subaru Outback, too. If I only had one car, it wouldn't be a Crossfire, unfortunately...just too impractical as an only car for me.
Best of luck, and keep in touch.

Talk about polar opposites! You go from a vehicle that doesn't look right with a spot of dirt on it, to a vehicle that doesn't look right without dirt all over it!
Enjoy the new ride! (at least it has a decent cupholder!

Oh man... I know that had to be tuff...
My "Driving the kids and hauling equipment" ride is a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee and I absolutely still love it... I think you will be happy with your Liberty.
