Default New owner - WOW

I just came home with my "wifes" new to her 2005 SRT6 Aero Blue Roadster! WOW, this little guy really goes and attracts attention like a Ford GT. I have to say at 1/8 the price too. She left 2.5 hours ago to take a short ride? I hope she brings "her" car home!!

Milwaukee is running heavy with Harleys today. 105th Ann.

Thanks for the site.

Jim

Very nice and welcome to the boards! Enjoy the new ride with your wife and don't let her hog all the driving!

Welcome! Remember to obtain have control of the second key. My wife now keeps the second key on her key ring and sometimes when I come home early to take a ride, she's already out.

Congrats and welcome! Our first xfire was for my wife. And then, like others here, it became an addiction.

Two xfires rule!

Congrats on the new car. My hubby was worried I'd never come home either. (I continue to come home!) I told him when men yell compliments, they mean them for the car. Lots of neck craning and swerving and "Beautiful!!!" hollering. And people talk to you like you're beside them on the sidewalk. She'll have fun with it.

I drove my 2005 black roadster to Eureka CA & back the same weekend as the Redwood Run. Stopped for tourist junk at the One Log House (for real) & if people died of envy, the Harley riders' carcasses would have been all over the sidewalk esp. when I put the top down. Bikes are fun - have a 2006 Suzuki Blvd S50 - but this car is off the charts for fun & u don't have to wear motorcycle boots, helmet & armored jacket!

Have seen exactly one other convertible since getting the car in June, maybe 6 sightings of coupes in Marin & Sonoma counties - a graphite gray one last weekend on Hwy 1 near Bodega Bay. Where is everyone????

Small price to pay to get two Xfires in the stable.

Besides, we worked together every day although I go in a 7:00 and she comes in at 10:00. We go home at the same time and she "races" me in the minivan.

The SRT would give her a chance.

And I'm not giving up my Stick shift.

Once in a while I get to race my hubby in his Impala SS on the way home if I spot him on the freeway. Wives can drive Crossfires!!!

I get to drive my roadster to Eureka tomorrow a.m. Hwy 101 goes thru the redwoods. A gorgeous drive. May borrow a radar detector. Hairy thru the small towns - they're waiting for you!

Maybe I'll see a Crossfire....

Did that drive in a (please don't laugh) sebring convt a few years ago. A lovely drive on our way to Yosemite. Would truly love to do it in my roadster.

We really don't race all that much because it's just not fair. The cops would pull over my Xfire and I would get a ticket. She would get pulled over and either flirt her way out of a ticket or challenge them by saying, "Which Green minivan were you chasin' officer?"

It's not much of a race - 2 fwy exits max. I have never yet talked my way out of a ticket (minivan, xterra, dog cart, it doesn't matter). My sister gets out of them every time. The last time, cop asked her, "Do u know how fast you were going?" She said, "Fast enough for u to notice me?" No ticket. Thank God for traffic school. So I don't often speed, though I'd really like to see how fast I can go in this car.

Rented a Sebring once. Not much to it, but the convertible top was fun. They fake us out all the time, think they're Crossfires till we see the trunk lid. Hitting the highway in a bit. Have a great holiday, everyone!!
