Default values going up?

WOW, it seems like the sell prices are finally going up. I'm sure it is bacause there are a lot less Crossfires available. If you check Ebay, Cars.com and dealer listings, they are actually asking more for them. They have been way udervalued for a long time. I sure wish I would have picked up one of the last, low milage SRT-6s. Parts and accessories seem to be up also. I'm on the West Coast so I'm not sure about back East, since they have a lot more Crossfires and year round driving may be diff icult.

Don't know what you mean by the "East" but NY ceratinly doesn't have a lot of Crossfires. I can actually go weeks without seeing one. I'm on Long Island and thats only like 30 miles from NY City so I wouldn't say the East Coast has an abundance of them at all. I do think there are more near Detroit and the corporate headquarters for Chrysler. Perhaps the values are starting to go up because the initial glut of cars coming in off '04 and '05 leases are starting to find "purchased" homes and the supply is starting to dry up a bit. The prices we've seen were stupid ridiculous when asking yourself what else can I get for $15,000 - $20,000 and now the last of the lease turn ins will find their way to private parties and they'll be out of the dealers hands to butcher any further. Hope I'll be able to find another low mileage model when my current daily driver comes off lease in a couple years.

For some reason the states with the most Crossfires seem to be Florida, Michigan and Texas.

I'm glad the prices did drop. Otherwise I would never of been able to buy my SRT!
Three year old $47k car for $17k. That's $10k a year devaluation!

Tempted to buy a roadster with all of the money I saved!

I'm seeing prices up a little right now, too. I was looking for a 2005 coupe for my son and expected to pay in the $13-14k range but asking is $15-16k. Still looking and negotiating. Winter is coming and the market is dropping, so seller motivation should be high in the next couple months.
