Help
My indicator light came on informing me that a light is out somewhere on my car. I check the high beams/low beams, the fogs, turning signals, tail lights, side markers, parking lights, reverse lights and lastly the interior dome lights. All of the lights are working. When I started my car this morning the light was of and when I put it in reverse the light came on and stayed, thats why I checked the reverse. Yester day I had a tire issue and had to get a patch in my rear driver side tire. That has to be just a coincidence right? Even if they damaged the TPMS, it wouldn't affect my indicator light right?
Did you have someone press the brake while you checked the brake lights? The indicator will come on and stay on if a brake light is out. If its a headlight or fog light it will only come on if those are turned on.
With me it was the Brake light and just the secondary filament, since the rear running light is the same bulb.
Took me a couple tries to figure it out. Good news, went to the Mercedes Dealership and not only did their part work, wouldn't even charge me for it. Not a huge financial windfall, but I was impressed.

Sad that MB wouldn't jump the oppertunity to service what is basically a Mercedes SLK. I've found that they do have most chassis and drive train parts in stock and at better price than what the Chrysler Stealers offer. My first call for parts help will always be to the local MB dealer being as my car is not under warranty.
