My intro
I have actually been a member here for over 6 months, but never introduced myself, because I didn't have a Crossfire. That changed the other night when I bought a 2005 red roadster. Hopefully I will pick the car up this Wednesday or Thursday. Then I will really feel like a true member here.
yes, you will ...
it's a bit strange, welcoming a member who's been a member longer than I have ... I've had my '05 for almost 3 years and can assure you that you will enjoy driving your new car ... it's said the police are drawn to the red ones and I honestly tell you from experience that you're going to need to keep a firm hold on the reins if you're going to stay below 80mph ...

Thanks for the welcomes. I picked the car up yesterday & drove it 100 miles home with no problems, (except northern VA traffic ). I had bought it sight unseen off of ebay, so I was a little worried, but the body is almost perfect, just a couple of tiny paint chips. I got a pleasant surprise, it has a 7 yr, 85,000 mi extended warranty, I am hoping I can transfer that over to my name. Red wasn't my first choice in colors, but I have to admit, it looks beautiful sitting in my garage. If I could figure out how to add a pic, I would.
I finally, after 2 weeks, got to actually drive my XF legally. I had to get all the paperwork done, & get VA state inspection. I needed rear tires to pass inspection.
I even got to drive with the top down, as it got up the high 50's today. I also got my first compliments on the car. When I was registering it with the county, the clerk said, "oh, I love Crossfires." Then as I was getting in the car to leave the county office building, a woman said, "Thats a beautiful car, what kind is it?"
The car is fun to drive & the compliments make it even more fun.

TRANSFER POLICY:
The orginal purchaser may authorize transfer of coverage, provided the Plan has not been cancelled. Remaining coverage may be transferred to the first subsequent purchaser of the vehicle AT THE TIME OF VEHICLE SALE ONLY. Thereafter, the Plan is non-transferable and non-cancancelable.
To transfer this service contract, complete this transfer form. Be sure to include your signature. This means you are authorizing transfer of Plan coverage to the new owner. Transfer requests will not be processed: (a) without the signature of the owner for whow these Plan Provisions were originally issued; or (b) if not received after 60 days from the date of vehicle ownership change.
Then there is a fee (mine was $50) to transfer the Plan. I went to a local Chrysler dealer (bought my SRT on ebay) and they did all of the paperwork right there.
Oh yeah, WELCOME to the forum!
