honestly wheres the hardtop?
if smeone doesnt make a hardtop soon im going to make one out of plywood and 2x4 wood. i hate my roadster. im in my mid 20's and it makes me feel less of a man. our arch enemies like the "sky" and "solstice" have one and even the miata and new bmw have one. i also dont like the fact that the soft top looks fine on the passenger side and the drivers side looks deformed with the wrinkles and it almost looks like the soft top has to be streched out to look more curvy. is my roadster the only one that always get wrinkles only on the driver side.
Nope, mine does too. But I rarely see them since I usually only drive it topless.
Why don't you get a coupe instead?
BTW, you are wrong about the Sky and Solstice. Their soft tops have to be put up by hand. They don't get stretched near as tight as the Crossfire.

man...what is that all about? I hate skys and soltices, miatas, bmws, etc...there was only 1 vert out there that looks grt as a vert, and that is a XF...be happy, put the damn top down and enjoy it. Can't see the wrinkles with top down, and at my age the only wrinkles I see are in the mirror...life could be worse...I always hated hard tops on verts...they look out of place...coupes are coupes, roadster are verts, good luck...done ranting...
Judging by your previous posts it sounds like you aren't really happy with your roadster. Do you just not like convertibles or is it the crossfire?
Did you ever get the fire hydrant damaged repaired?

As to when there will be a hard top available? The answer is "NEVER". This car is now an orphan.
Mid 20's ...less of a man......You have issues beyond your car if you feel any of that!
Arch enemies...you have to be kidding...They don't hold a torch to us...
Nuttin like punching the throttle on a on ramp as the top goes down behind you!
Hate that manual stuff...oh and once you disarm the speed control on the top its even more fun...

USE to race trim pumps on outboards in the parking lot for beers...I could fling a beer off the lower unit....just throw more kuice at it until the wires glow.....
Of course I would never do that to my car...But it was hilarious ta see the looks on peoples faces as ya took there beer!!
If your gonna search for it look on the mercedes web sites....its a trick I learned from them.
I will look when I have a chance I found it in the back of a magazine...they even sold a key fob too do it also...but you would have to leave it unlatched on our cars...that would be stupid.
Was a mercedes mag from europe...

Here are some more thoughts on the subject from over a year ago:

So sell your Crossfire and get a manly S10 or something.

i paid way to much money for my roadster, i would be loosing alot of money if i traded it in for a hardtop, i liked the option of putting the top down for a week then it got boring, its just that i could use more trunk room and i love the rear quarter panels on the coupes im sorry its my first convertible im just not used to looking at that soft top. i like the back of the car that people refer to "its like a dog taking a poop" ,well im stuck with it so ill have to deal with the fact that i live in new england and that i will enjoy the top down for a few months and ill have to get used to the fact that anyone with a pocket knife can just welcome their way into the car and do whatever they please, quick question will the alarm go off if the top does get ripped open? dont get me wrong i would have a complete different opinion if there was an optional hardtop. ive had countless amounts of good comments but not at much as i would if it was a hardtop coupe.
Uhhmm??? aren't our coupes hardtops? Am I missing something here? While it might be a hatchback it's still a hardtop, ie, no post around the window.

All crossfires have depreciated ridiculously. Instead of dishin' the car maybe you out to think about it out side the box.
Again, I suggest posting specifics about your car on the forum. Bet there is a coupe owner out there wishing he had a ragtop. Your ragtop will fetch a bit more than a comparable coupe so you're ahead on value.
A little horse trading, maybe some manure in the deal to make things even and you're both happy.
If you don't put it out there, you won't get an answer.

Don't think the alarm will go off until they activate something electrical.
Too bad your car isn't an SRT, I'd probably trade ya!

Another example would be the base 1968 Road Runner Coupe. It had no frame around its window, but had a stationary "B" pillar. A true hardtop version was available as an option.
" A hardtop is a term for a rigid, rather than canvas, automobile roof." Metal (hard) Cloth (soft).
