Default Crossfire Special Edition

Curous if anyone on the list has a Crossfire Special Edition Roadster. I know the car was offered in 2008; not sure if it was offered in 2007 model year. These came only in Blaze Red, had unique full face aluminum wheels, available with 5-spd AutoStick, satin door handles and bright pedals. Sort of a spruced up Standard Crossfire but not a Limited version.

I think our member "theoneandonly" has one of these Crossfires
I met him at a recent Chicagoland meet.

The red one on the front end of the row........

Yeh, the red roadster definitely looks like a Special Edition model. I recognize the wheels & satin handles, with no fog lights.

I saw one at the dealer in Holland MI back in late 06 or 07. Blaze red with the SRT6 rims. I was a little ticked because if the SRT6 rims were an option, I prefer them and would have ordered them on my 05 if available. I guess it was just a very limited, special deal - who knows what went through Chrysler's head. Maybe they had a surplus of SRT6 rims after finishing the run of real SRT6s.

I have a 2006, build date November 2005. Original window sticker price was $34,185. Sticker says "Customer Preferred Package 21P" for $310. Special Edition Group includes two items: Door handles in satin silver finish and special aluminum wheels.

Blaze Red paint is listed separately as Optional Equipment at $150.

This car has a six speed manual, cloth seats and no fogs.

Curious if your SE has bright pedals, too. The 2008 brochure I just got shows this as part of the SE package. Didn't know whether bright pedals were offered only on Limited models.

I have an 06 SE Roadster. I think the wheels are slightly different from the SRT 6 in finish but the shape is the same. Mine has spokes polished on the fron with a charcoal grey painted finish on the side of the spoke. Probably wouldn't notice any difference unless you saw them side by side. Plain rubber pedals on mine though.

I have a 2005 SE Red Blaze Crossfire. SRT6 wheels with painted inside of spokes. Also no fog lights and the auto stick. Includes the satin finished door handles.

Before finalizing on mine I drove one in red. It was nice but had the infamous window preforation issue for some of the coupes.
They look like a wannabe srt six with the wheels they come with.

Per Edmunds it was offered in `06 and `07 and was not Blaze Red, it was Inferno Red.

Wrong indeed. I have my window sticker in my dirty little hands. "Blaze Red Crystal Pearl Coat Exterior Paint" listed as optional equipment.

I'm traveling this week, so I don't have the 2008 brochure in front of me. But I think it supports what has been stated above. The Special Edition had Blaze Red Clear Coat rather than Inferno Red. Don't know if there is actually any difference in the colors. Or is it just a twist on words - Blaze vs. Inferno? If there truly is a difference, then that adds another distinction to the Special Edition model.
