Wow! Good eye, mightyjlr. I didn't notice it until you pointed it out.
Yeah, I'd like the SRT cabrio, also. Don't think the wallet would like that idea, though.

Default crossfire convertible

Just got off the phone with chrysler relations. the representative told me that the convertible is coming in May2004 and it is available with a supercharger, the top will retract like the SLK. He also thought the list was approximately $35,000, sounds cheap!

I don't see how or why they would sell a supercharged folding hardtop for the same price as the coupe. Even without the supercharger that's way cheap. I'll be trading mine in if that's the case....

It will not be a hard top, it will be a soft top. I have seen the dealer order sheets. Also, don't expect it around 35,000. More like 40,000 at least.

I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF THE 2005'S COUPE WILL HAVE A SUPERCHARGER. (NOT THE CONVERTIBLE)
OR WILL IT BE AN OPTION.

ALSO IF IT IS AN OPTION WILL IT FIT THE 2004 MODELS.

LOOKING TO BUY
PLEASE HELP.

No way they are going to sell a convertible, soft or hard top for 35k unless they plan to drop the coupe's price drastically which is going to really **** a lot of customers off, myself included.

On the other hand, DCX might find themselves between a rock and a hard place considering the 320 SLK is in the mid 40s... so I guess I should start drinking lots of water.

I bet they drop the price of the coupe, cause I know i can buy one for $32000 here in minnesota. I don't think they are selling well at all, I have seen only 2 on the road. I hope to get a convert. for $35000.

Don't count on that. Chrysler will not lower the price of the car, they know better than to hurt the resale value of it. If they do anything it will be offering a cash incentive. Also, I can tell you right now you will not be getting a convertible for $35,000 anytime soon. $40,000 maybe, after the dealer markups that are sure to come with that car in the beginning, subside after a few months.

Any update as to when the release of the convertible will be? Also is the supercharger a legit option to buy?

thanks!

Default MORE POWER:

From "ROAD & TRACK MAGAZINE- MARCH 2004"
Chrysler will address this issue by unveiling the SRT-6 Crossfire, a supercharged version that boosts output of the normally aspirated 3.2 liter V-6 FROM 215 TO 330 BHP! THIS WELCOME POWER INFUSION TO BOTH COUPE AND CONVERTIBLE variants promises to transform the Crossfire from slick boulevardier into a serious alternative to the Nissan 350Z, Audi TT and Porsche boxter- 8)
Wil it happen :?:

When I heard they were coming out with the "Classic Yellow" I didn't think it would look very good on a Crossfire...... I was wrong. I think I like it.
