It's a rare car.
Everyone knows that the black ones are the best... Just ask FP.
They only made the other colors because they had extra paint they needed to get rid of!
LOL
Son lived in Palm Springs, Calif, seen cars like that every day in town & at the stop lites, NOT in Tomahawk, Wisconsin!. By the way he now lives here after 10 years at Palm Springs, his remark, I finally got my FRIED butt out of desert hole!. Lots of nice cars but temps of 120 for 7 months, is hard to take & the rear windwows fall out of crossfires, not to mention all the uphostry & rubber & vinyl & leather & whatever else. Well when you got enough $ to drive Lamborginies & on & on, who cares, you get a new one every year anyhow. NO salt on the roads tho!

On our earlier trip to the Dragon this year we saw:
7 Hummers
8 Corvettes
3 Smart cars
58 LOE's of various types
Countless Mustangs
and
2 Crossfires, both in Chicagoland.
That's in 900.8 miles one way. I saw more Crossfires in N.C. than I've ever seen before. It was thrilling!
My wife spotted a black coupe last year on Hwy. 45 south of town. Now we see that there's a wrecked black coupe hanging around a dealer's parking lot just north of Appleton. Looks like it crashed into a truck, the front end is completely whacked.
Just spent a week in Ft Lauderdale. Lots of Ferrari's and Bently's but no XF's.
These are fairly new cars and their hard to find, what's it going to be like in a few years after a bunch of people have wrecked them?
It's not like there's a truckloads of them being shipped from the factory anymore.

Look on e-bay, there has been quite a few white ones for sale in the last 12 months. Most with the two-tone grey interior, but a few with the eggshell white & slate gray interior also, & perhaps the red cedar interior as well, think I remember some.

I have one exactly like yours! (The BEEP) I have just owned mine for a couple of weeks. I totally love it. I have all of the same colors as yours does. Mine is a 2005 Crossfire Roadster Limited with 10,000 miles on it. Yes it is wonderful to have such a rare car!

Can anyone give me some idea how rare the silver color is? We had 12 Crossfires on a hookup and the only colors missing was white and oyster.

If you are looking for a white roadster, there is one available at the Chrysler dealer in Morganton, NC.
I don't know any details about mileage etc., but the exterior looked pretty good.

[quote=MisterTaz]Hey Beep,
I learned that only about eleven percent of all Crossfires sold were either Yellow or White (and White was dropped from availability in '08).
How did you/where did you come by this % ?
And you are overlooking another color:

Over here in sunny old England, I've never seen a roadster other than my own, and I've only ever seen 1 coupe. Even looking on the Auto Trader web site there are only 70 coupes and 36 roadsters available for sale in the whole of the United Kingdom. I love how rare these cars are over here, I'm forever getting comments about mine from strangers.

I don't think I overlooked any color. I got the Percentages off of one of the automobile search sites when I originally researched the Crossfire in 2005; I want to say it was cars.com . There was a breakdown of vehicles sold by color and at that time Gold and Silver were not an available option. My guess would be that Silver is the rarest of colors as it was only offered later in the build schedule with Gold and then Yellow next for the reasons stated in my earlier post. Also to note White was not an available option for model year 2008 (and yes I did check on that when I ordered my 2008 Roadster).
I had all of my original files on my other computer (five laptops ago) so I am going by memory. I could go back and try to find the original data if I could only remember the password ( I occasionally suffer from C.R.S.
). So I hope this helps...Stay Safe...
