Default New Purchase 2007 Roadster

I just recently purchased a 2007 Xfire Roadster in New England and I really love it. I was wondering if there are any known problems with the convertible top and its mechanism?

thanks

Potentially, do a search on the rear window - some have experienced the window coming away from the ragtop. Conventional wisdom: do not drive with the top up and your windows open, creates a lot of buffeting on the rear window. Enjoy your new ride!

Welcome aboard, and congrats on the ride. Most of the window separation issues have been reported from those living in the south. Maybe the heat affects them more. I haven't had any issues with mine in 3 years.

Congrats on the ride !! Welcome to the forum. I've got a 2005 and absolutely LOVE mine.

As for the top issue there really haven't been many posting about mechanical "parts" - the most common reports are issues - as FP speaks of - are the window / top separation where the back window starts to fall out. I live in Alabama and I haven't had any issues with mine. I'm the second owner and the first owner also lived in Georgia...both south states.

But, Enjoy the ride.....it's a blast to drive....personally my preference is TOP DOWN

Welcome to the forum! Be sure to check out the New England section. We try to stay active in there with a couple of get togethers a year. What area are you from?
I have had no problems with mine except for the partition switch being out of place.(happens to all of them, just needs jiggling.)

Welcome to the forum.

You won't find a more knowledgeable group of people about the crossfire anywhere else.

heck, even the guy who designed the crossfire is a member here...though he isn't on much, he is too busy reaping the glory of designing the genesis/genesis coupe.

4 summers and 33k miles, no problems. Most posts discuss problems in AZ/FL with the window separating from the top. I read all these and have not seen a post from the northern zones (I'm in MI) so it could be heat related. I also keep my top down most of the time and the car garaged AND covered.
