different color top?
ive noticed some of the more exotic and more expensive roadsters have different colored tops like a green colored aston martin would have a green top and a blue jaguar or mercedes would have a blue top. even the a silver bentley convertible would have a bright red colored top with a red interior. even a non convetible white lincoln town car would have a different colored roof. the crossfire came wih alot of different options for the interior of the car especially with the color of the upholestery. now my question is would this be a good idea to do on a crossfire im thinking a black roadster with red top would look pretty cool. theres a few ways of getting this done one would think to simply have an auto upholestry shop make a custom top out of a different colored fabric. or could the top of the crossfire roadster be dyed like a shirt would. etc. has anyone considered this a possibilty or even a shot worth trying, i mean there a few handful of people that own a crossfire and do like go that extra mile when it comes to customizing a car tastefully like those audio guys with the yellow crossfire or the kid who turbocharged his crossfire, i dont know what to think anymore what r your thoughts.
I would think you would have to tie it together with the interior color or something - a red top on a black car with gray interior just would not work well. It would look quite out of place.

Rudy, I think that's great. I've always felt that the SSB should have come with a blue top.
Back in the Good Ole Days, when I was a teenager, around 1954, I had a 1949 Ford convertable, creme in color, (bit lighter than the x-fire yellow), with a dark green top, looked cool. I think a dark green top would look great on a yellow X-Fire with the Two- Tone Black & white interior??. During the spring of 55 I traded it on a brand new Ford Fairlane Victoria, two door hdtp, red & white, two-tone in color. Wish I had either car now as each would be worth more than my 06 Crossfire Rdst!!!, go figure. Seen a nice restored 49 Convert on e-bay bring $25,000!!!!!!!!!!

I met a couple up here in Minneapolis with an Aero Blue roadster that had the Vanilla interior and after I saw it, that color combo was one that should have been seen a lot more as it was a beautiful combination with the top down. If I had an AB roadster, I'd look for one with that interior and I'd get a top like this made for it.
