Default Recommendation for Rear Wind Screen

Greetings All!

Just purchased a 2005 Crossfire Convertible in Texas and drove it 1,500 miles back to Southern California.
Since I am a newbie owner, what recommendations do people have for installing a rear wind screen?
There is a plexiglass one listed on E-Bay for $85.00.
Is this a good buy?

And what other upgrades are recommended?
I have the inoperable heated seats, so I have reviewed the postings for the Dealer Repair Kit.

Adamesh | auto accessories | jaguar x type | jaguar accessories A very good product!! Put one on the wifes roadster, made a huge difference in the wind noise. We can actually talk with the top down without yelling.

I have the plexiglass windscreen. I only use when driving on the interstate . I don't notice a big difference with the windscreen driving 50 mph & lower. Besides with the top down I always wear a ballcap. just my .02

I've had the Chrysler product for years and it works okay, but don't expect miracles. It blocks the most air and noise when the windows are also up. With windows down, it's minimally effective. I'm sure other products are as good or better, and size and style (and lighting options) become considerations.

You may want to check out Wind Restricter. Where are you located in CA?

Many here, including myself, like the Adamesh windscreen. A little pricey and expensive shipping costs from the UK, but worth it IMHO.

I purchased the Adamesh, too. I liked the looks of it better than the others and it functions well.

The thing is, it looks like it came with the Xfire. I haven't tried mine yet as I put it on this winter, but if it works half as good as it looks, it will be fine.

I bought the windblox and don't really see a difference. However, I do like the look. I got the smoke in Lexan with the black straps. The claims they make about blocking wind at 30 mph and 65 mph don't hold true but as I said, I like the look so I am going to keep it.

I installed mine today and it looks real nice. It does reduce the buffeting a bit and is much more effective if the windows are up.

For the price, Its not a bad option.

I have the windrestrictor as well and installed it about 30 months ago. I like mine as it does light up and you can get the adapter to make it act like a third brake light.

Thanks for the fancy windscreen link.
I like it.
Where did you attach the power?
Was it behind the rear seat panel.

This is what I have, and would highly recommend it, even if just for the LED lit Customized lettering, you can have. Marine5 has a good one. TerryR

The kit comes with instructions, wiring, and parts needed, but I wired mine up to the left tail light.

My Crossfire came with one of those (or similar). I still have it. I did not like it only because I need to have the seat all the way back when driving and the seat rubbed against the deflector making a creaking noise that drove me nuts. For anyone that does not have to have the seat all the way I would think it would be just fine. Decent price too. Good luck.

BTW, if you think spring is slow in coming on the island, try Vermont. We still have snow bank runoff which craps up the roads and keeps my xfire in the garage. LOL.
