Visual aggression or, changing a car's personality
I posted these hastily shot images in another thread about the TSW Donington Wheels, but I figure I should put 'em here too. I need to get better shots but we just finished this off yesterday afternoon and with Monterey Week in full swing and me headed up the coast tomorrow for Concorso Italiano, RM Auctions, Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion and Pebble Beach I just don't have time.
The Doningtons are on with the factory tires mounted. All the exterior silver trim has been wrapped in Wraptivo flat black to match the wheels; the CROSSFIRE letters have been taken off the back (I've resprayed them flat black but may not bother putting them back on) and the slasher stripes have been swapped for flat black as well. Oh, and the chrome Chrysler wing logos front and rear are wrapped in flat black with the center emblems left exposed. The only issue was trying to wrap the roll hoops - I'll have to take them out in order to do a proper job, but many coworkers think I should leave them silver to match the interior console bits. I'm still on the fence. Yes, I know, I need to lose the shiny license plate frame, too.
You can see the Seat Cupra front lip spoiler but the Mopar rear diffusers are hard to see in the badly underexposed rear 3/4 image. I've had the rear diffusers on for a couple of years and the front lip spoiler on for several months, but all the flat black is brand new.
Bottom line: I wanted to dramatically change the look of the car and I think this flat black change does just that, making the car look much more aggressive overall.

Looking good, Mike - like I knew it would.
Consider wrapping the roll bars, forget the co-workers
Mine is getting some flat black tonight, results to come...

Thanks for the feedback, guys!

Yeah, the more I look at it the more I really want the hoops wrapped. I'll do it, but it won't happen for a few weeks at this point.

This is a little off topic but what width are the doningtons? I was looking at rims and wondered if 18 x 8 and 19 x 9.5 would work with the factory tires even though its a different width?

Yes, factory tires will fit fine on these wheels - my factory Continentals do at least. I was a bit concerned about the rears since I thought they already looked a tiny bit stretched to fit the factory wheels, but these are fine. When it's time to replace the tires though I'm going with a 275 or 285 width on the rears.
