Default Help!!! I broke something...

I kind of broke my flip up cup holder and it will not stay closed. I have a screw holding it down and it looks stupid... Anyone know where I can purchase another? Or would my dealer be able to get it?

I removed mine and sold it before I broke it. Go back with the replacement bin and you won't have to deal with it ever again. Do a search and you will find dozens of threads about this.

They sell it on this site, but hell, i forgot how to get to it. If you find it let me know and i can write down the part number.

Also, anyone have a suitable replacement for a broken ash tray/coin holder?

Edit: I think we're on the right track. Can anyone tell me if this is what i need?

Oh wait, i think i actually need #3 the compartment which seems to run $260

Here's OEM Cup holder for almost $100.

I remember the storage bin being $56ish dollars and seemingly more useful.

Common problem - there is a fix for it. You can find a fix for any common problem on this site with a few minutes and the search button

Here is the fix for this one:

here is another site that is slightly less expensive enter the pt # 1BQ12XDVAA into the search field you can enter Bin in the desc or leave blank and leave all other fields as is and once the search is returned scroll down and you will find store in Tampa selling it for $52. +/-

Suggestion: The cup holder is worthless. The3re are aftermarket pockets that can be inserted in the space where the cup holder mechanism stores when closed. I had the same problem. The purchased aftermarket cup that drops in is around $50 if you can find one. Foe less than $5 you can remove the cup holder mechanism ans just line the inside of the space with the fuzzy side of velcro and it becomes a great place for your wallet or cell phone! Some people disassemble the console to get it out. I just put some duct tape around the opening to protect the finish on the plastic, and broke the mechanism in to pieces and pulled it out with pliers and screwdrivers. Took me about 10 minutes and it's much more usefull. you can buy at Walmart a twin cup holder that will slide down between the wall behind the console between the seats, and works great. It's out of the way, secure and accessible.
