Default My new Yellow Crossfire Convertible 6 Speed

Hi Gang!

I'd like to introduce myself to you and let you see my new Yellow Roadster.

Here's my Crossfire website http://jmichael.info/Crossfire.htm

I'm a car nut and this is my 104th car. If you'd care to see my 104 cars you can go here:
http://inficad.com/~moneymanager/docsbikes.htm

Let me hear from you. I'm interested in Performance upgrades, exhaust and possibly a Supercharger down the road like the SRT-6 or similar. As well as getting involved in a local Crossfire Club if one is forming.

Thanks for allowing me to join in your forum. I also am a regular on the (VMF) Vintage Mustang Forum as well.

Thanks,
"Doc"

Hi Doc - And Welcome to Our World!!!

Look under "Meets". You will find that we have 2 "Hook-UPs" coming up on us quickly. July 17th in Malibu, CA and Sept. 11th in Sin City (Las Vegas). AZOutlaws is from Mesa and will be driving to (and co-organizing) both Hook-Ups. You really should try to meet us in a couple of weeks. Under Meets, you will also see a club forming...XFi.

Looking forward to meeting you and seeing your yellow roadster!

Thanks for the info. Yes I saw where they are coming to see you in Vegas. If I hadn't just found out about the trip we might have joined in it as well.

Timing is wrong right now. But keep us in mind for future runs. We like to play too!

Malibu is out too??? Don't forget about Yosemite!!

We looked at your Crossfire pics - I have a question. What does this mean? AND Custom (5 piece set) Luggage specifically designed for our car! Are you really getting 5 pieces of luggage - and if so - how in the world will they fit in your Roadster with your top down??? (They must be smaller than ours)

The Malibu date is wrong for us but when the BOSS gets back from Utah tomorrow I'll run it by her, she loves VEGAS and it might work for us.

I haven't seen anything about Yosemite yet, where is that info on the forum?

The 5 piece set of luggage was mailed to us (for FREE) directly from Chrysler as a new owner of a Crossfire Convertible. It's soft luggage and quite nice but certainly not of the class the old Mercede's Gull Wings came with back in the 60's. HA Oh well, it's free and it does say CROSSFIRE on each piece. A nice gesture anyway since luggage and traveling for anytime is going to be a real challenge in the roadster. (Especially if my wife goes with me!) Ha

Another roadster in town, COOL! And welcome!

NO local club as yet but I think that is something we should work on. There are some other PHX locals here we can start with.

Do I understand you have received your luggage already? I've had my roadster over a month now and haven't received mine. I guess I'll have to stop by and have words with my salesman.

I bought my car about 30 days ago and it came in the mail last week. I think a lot has to do with how fast the sales department turns in the paperwork for it.

Yes let's chat soon, call me anytime (480) 641-9361.

WHere are you located in town?

Well to tell you the truth the luggage arrived the day before my wife was to drive to Ogden Utah to visit our latest new grandson. She had planned on taking the Crossfre but it was tied up in the shop getting the Top to work and wasn't available for her to use on her already scheduled trip. SO she took our 2002 TransAm Collector Edition WS6 Convertible instead.

She already had the Crossfire luggage packed so to be truthful I haven't got a clue if it would have fir or not. Without me in the passenger it would work well. HA

We'll see soon enough.

You will have to take a picture of your 5-piece luggage set since we 2004 XF owners only got 3 pieces!!! You know ... inquiring minds always want to know...

My mistake. No actually it was the salesman's mistake. He told me it would be 5 peices but in fact only 3 peices came in the box. I'll have to correct my website. Thanks for pointing that out to me.

Unfortunately, now that you own a roadster, there's no viable, affordable supercharger option. Clearly the extra $10K for the SRT-6 is better and cheaper than the aftermarket. But you'd have to dump your existing roadster to get an SRT-6, and you'll take a financial beating on the depreciation. If you were starting from scratch, the SRT-6 would be the way to go. Don't hold your breath waiting for DC to release an add-on SRT blower.

I know what you mean and I agree. It's just something to talk about really. The Crossfire as it is is fine since my wife drives it most of the time for a work car anyway. When I want power I'll take the Shelby for a spin and hit the NOS button!

Default Luggage

Welcome! Where is my F-ING luggage? Took delivery of my roadster on 5-14-04. I guess I will have to call my dealer and get agressive. The luggage hot-line is no help. How often do you have to clean the dirt off the white steering wheel?

Sorry to hear you've had such a long wait for your luggage. Maybe it's due to the sales dept at the dealership rather than Chrysler. They may not have submitted the request for it.

The white steering wheel doesn't seem to be as much of a problem as I thought it might. Besides, I just keep a can of Leather Wipes in the car and run over it along with the dash and etc periodically to keep things fresh.

Thanks and good luck on getting your bags.
