Default Crossfire Wind Screen

I have contacted a company that is supposed to have a new Wind Screen available soon for our Crossfire Roadsters.

They are supposed to be contacting me when it becomes available and then I will post thatinfo here on the Forum.

Here is what it may look like (this one is for the SLK)

This is where I found this information

Default windscreen is now made in germany

myroadster.net 1-888-563-7227 says that they are made, but when he tried to order 10 from the company they said that they wanted a order of 50 to ship to him. so if you are interested give him a call. He needs to know that he could sell 50 of them. It only fits between the rollbars and doesn't go behind them like the wsa2000 for theaslk but like the wsa3000 for the mercedes. check out pics at formymercedes.com. price is $195 for SLK version. call him and tell him because I want to get one and I can't afford 50

guys, you have to call him(jerry) at that number and tell him you would buy one. Telling this forum does no good. He has to have a reasonable idea he can sell the 50 the distributor in German(CTD-germany) is requiring him to purchase. Give him your name and some way of contacting you when he has enough people that want one to justify him taking the risk of buying 50 to resell. Anybody have an idea how many roadsters have been sold in the USA?

Looks like it would cause a drag and a change in the airflow over the car.

I wonder if you affect your warranty or insurance if you change the car's aerodynamics.

Does look quite neat though.

No it doesn't effect the handling characteristics at all. It merely straightens out the air flow going over the windshield the curls back into the drivers compartment.

Absolutley would NOT effect any warranty.

Doc,
Looks like it's made out of Plexiglass or something and not an actual screen material, is that right?
Would that make more wind noise, or less?

They are made of a heavy clear optical grade plexiglass and do not add more wind noise, they actually lessen the noise. Which has been my experience with my other cars. That's the whole idea, is to eliminate the wind from coming over the windshield and curling back into the passenger area.

If you ever find someone that actually has them for sale let me know. Fort the Crossfire that is.

THANKS

I tried calling
Car Toys
608-450 Westview Street
V3K6C3 Coquitlam
BC
Tel: +1 604 937 0122
Fax: +1 604 444 1161
of british Columbia who is listed on CTD-Germany's website as a distributor in Canada and there was no answer. I called at 2:45 pm eastern to allow for time change. If anyone has a luck getting in touch with them please post it to this web site and whether or not they would sell them to someone in the USA.

Now this is odd, something we have that you guys don't...they offer the wind guard here for $750! The only option for the whole car down here! It's a piece of plexiglass that fits between the two seatbacks but doesn't cover the "hoops" as shown in the Merc picture. You'll have to let me know what yours look like when they arrive.
