Talking Surprising Value

Yesterday AM, I stopped by a McDonalds to pick up a cup of coffee for my 100 mile trip to visit my sister. A gentleman ( I say 'gentleman' because he was wearing a suit & tie, unusual for around here ) driving a Cadillac CTS parked next to me and proceeded to question me about my baby.
He first asked if it was new.
I replied "no. it is 7 years old"

He said his first impression was that was some sort of new model he was not familiar with, and had judged it to be between $65K and $85K

When I told him that they can had for $13K - $16K, he did not believe it, and asked how to locate one.

I gave him this forum and also advised the other various web sites like cars.com and carmax and ebay.

( I also told him he could have mine for $65K )

It's always funny when I tell people Mine is an 05! They always think It must be some new model.

No one should go to Starbucks! The coffe is marginal at best. AND that Rat Bast*rd Howard Schultz Sold My baskettball Team to the Evil Man In OKC.

Boycott Starbucks!

I took my '05 Roadster with 70,000 mi to a car show last year & a guy asked me if it was new. I think for the most part we Crossfire owners keep our cars looking good.

That happened to me at a car show, I said it was over seven years old and I think at first the guy thought I was not being truthful. LOL

Does anyone remember that fantastic scene from "Schindler's List" where they shot it in black and while, but put the little girl in it with her bright red coat ?

That's my roadster in the stream of traffic on a clogged 4 lane ......

Are you aware Mr Dyson claims to have been inspired by the 1936Bugatti Atlantic. The crossfire has a timeless design. Although the idiot on Top Gear Jeremy, stated it has the look of a dog doing his business.

I was not aware Mr. Dyson was inspired by the Bugtti Atlantic.
But wasn't his job simply to translate the "Creator" Eric Stoddard's Crossfire Concept design into an actual production car? (No small task, by any means).
The Crossfire "Concept" car's inspiration were cars like the Auburn Boattail Speedster and the later 63 Stingray and 68 Mustang Fastback.
All timeless designs.
