Default 'Professional' rear window repair by Chrysler

Here's a few photo's of the 'Professional' rear window re-glue done on my Crossfire, and 'approved' by Chrysler.
Anybody else think I should be p1ssed, or was I lucky they even entertained a fix on my 8000mile roadster ?
It actually cost me $300, which in hindsight would have been better spent towards a GAHH top

Since it was your personal money, fixing a documented problem, that was a factory defect (that had initiated a TSB), I'd be down their neck right now.

Keep squeaking 'till the wheel gets greased.

Well, this was Chrysler's 'goodwill' gesture, because mine wasn't covered under the warranty, they paid $450 towards the repair ..........they should have saved their money ! , and I would have been really p1ssed if I'd paid $750 !!
Wish there was some half decent Chrysler reps who looked on here to see the madness of their X31 warranty criteria

Don't give in. Demand to meet the district manager at the dealer to show him this repair attempt. I really hope a new top is in your future.

That looks like crap, I'd definitely push to get it re-repaired.

I reckon they MUST have got the guy that works down the street, who probably used to work at Walamart, to do your repair, definitely does not look like a professional job. I would take it back to the Dealership and complain to the Service Manager, if I were you. Also a letter/E-Mail to the Customer Service Director at Chrysler Corporate, would not go amiss. When I initially did my own repair, I made a better job than that, and it only cost me about $70 for Primer and Glue.

Terry, I'm pretty sure if I had done it myself, I would have at least wiped the glue off around the perimeter before it dried. Anyway I'v e-mailed the head of customer service, so we'll see. The service advisor at Allen Samuels was not even interested in how bad it was, basically her attitude was ' well at least it's back in. So for all those in Houston, do not use this dealership, and if you need a crossfire window repaired I wouldn't recommend 'Trendsetters' in Katy. If he'd done a reasonable job, I was going to let him do my Jag upholstery, but I don't think I'm going to let him touch it after this.

You may not even have to deal with Chrysler now that the dealership screwed up your top.

Well, it looks better than the job I did myself on my original top but then I got lucky and got the letter that said they would replace it under warranty. Hoping that in the heat we're having now that it doesn't fall in again because it looks like it's made the same way.

It looks like it was done in a kindergarten art class. It's a wonder the "technician" was not stuck to the car when you picked it up.

looks like a 4th grade art class could so a better job. I was not on "the x31 list" but after pushing for a while they agreed to replace my top for $500 but, only 1 year warranty. I just saw today that there is suppose to be a new TSB including all 2005's from all states could we be eligible for reimbursments?

Me too. I waited as long as I could and now the rear window is 75% unglued. I finally gave in last weekend and took it to the Chrysler dealer to start the ball rolling to order the top. They better not screw up the mechanics when they do the install!

Hate to say it but that is not a good job. I had a similar job done and it looked like that. Bitched like Hell and the shop did a better job of cleaning it up. But Not Great
I have explained further in other thread opened
