I've lost that permagrin!
Hello to all!
6 onths ago I traded my 2005 graphite roadster in for a 09 CLK350 Cabrio. Wanted another convert that had more room; would take golf clubs in the trunk; wouldn't have to buy tires every 18 months; a car my wife would drive(jury is still out on that 1) would get up my driveway without taking the nose off(Corvette can't) mustangs to boring(even the shelby) never liked bimmers so ended up with the CLK, and it's a nice car does eveything that I was looking for but after 6 months what I have is
A Nice Car !
So what I traded wasn't a car; I traded MY PERMAGRIN!!
maybe will get another - if business gets better; my home regains some value; my 401k isn't a 201k;etc.
so to all you Crosffire owners - have fun enjoy the ride.
and this forum is the best - fun; funny; informative and still give me some of my permagrin back!!!
Take care, I'll be back

Thanks for checking back in! I agree that it would be tough to replace the Crossfire (for similar money).
For me to properly fill the SRT's shoes, I will have to spend north of $25K... Which is shocking.

Not me. My late wife (lost her at 42 last year to cancer) loved the graphite so much much, she practically ordered me to buy another. Bought one of the last chrysler dealer n.o.s. ones (black is pretty damn fast
) left in the country. 5* dealer service and they treat me like royalty (yes, they still retain an SRT-6 trained mechanic). I can't imagine walking out in the garage and not seeing those two immaculate cars. I miss her dearly and always think of her when I drive them. And yes, everything you've heard about the 6 being permagrin fast is quite true.
I love my two as well. I was tempted a few weeks ago with a great buy on a low mileage '09 ZO6 Black Vette...which I truely love...but, after thinking about selling my little black roadster...it would take one hell of an offer to let her go...
The Vette was a great buy, but was still more than what I have in my 2 XFs which are far from stock....lol
Well Doc you know i kept mine , i do own a Corvette but would never think of given up the Crossy , and mine is just the NA but do have to a point where it one hell alot fun to drive , so i know where you coming from , but you know that Zo6 is one hell of a car , but after driving both cars then you how great these little cars are ,
Appreciate them, still smile when I run into one in the wild, but like the 55 they just aren't going to do what I want them to do. It's time for something new I think.
