Default Front plate

Hate to do it, but i need to put my front license plate on. There's a couple of new LEOs in the area, (they look 18 years old) & the town is using them as revenue enhancement drones. The wife got a $156.00 fine for an expired inspection sticker on her Tribeca. No warning. That sux. No plate on hers either. He let that go, but said to get that plate on.

I love the front end of my black roadster. Now I have to ruin it with an ugly, green Vt. plate. Question is, where to get a mounting bracket...?

~ i would secure the rear side of the plate with a flat plastic surface and then use a heavy duty velco before i drilled holes.

also check ebay for some other mounting ideas.

no drill bracket (another idea) ... secured at tow hook

Try this source. Trying to put in linky .....

www.altecproducts.com

If you can't just click on it, search for it by typing it in. Great product if you don;t want to drill holes.

I'm leaning toward the tow hook method. I like the one that you can just fold and slide under the bumper, but I think I need it to be permanent. These small town LEOs are just itching to bring in more revenue. And the XF just LOOKS fast, so they'll be eying her big-time.

Good luck with that !
The tow hook on the Crossfire is NOT like the Pooorshie, it is a loop hidden behind the right side lower grille cover.

Luckily Alabama does not require a front tag.

This is still my favorite (if you absolutely have to do it).

I was going to go with something like this up until the bastards at the body shop drilled holes in my brand new unmolested SRT bumper

Having the front plate isn't so bad. It sticks out a little more than an inch so when some idiot backs into me (because I have to parallel park at work) they hit that before the bumper itself.
